The Peerless dome tweeter was set at an angle as frequency response graphs showed that the 45 degree off axis response curves were the flattest and smoothest. Those tweeters can be a bit "sizzly" directly on axis, which you can hear if you stand in front of the speaker.

Those specs were taken horizontally while the tweeter was mounted on a vertical surface. Could be totally different different horizontally when the tweeter is tipped back by 60deg.
Clearly they were not a big seller even at the bargain basement MSRP.
