! bought every pair I saw for 20.00 or less years ago.
optimus-7-speakers had 3 tweeter designs I think.
I would NOT pay 75.00 for a pr. now, but that's just me since I've had about 10 pr.s or more. I bought them when they were at Radio Shack. They are GREAT little speakers!
I'm sure they sold MILLIONS of them. Let's see what eBay has them for...
It seems 50.00 to 75.00+ a pr. for nice ones is the range. I don't know...
They do sound good. the ones with that ribbon8-tweeter were special. I had a couple or more pr.s of them too.
I leaned toward the walnut cased ones sound.
If space is of concern, you might want to see exactly what pr. he has. I know he states metal case. But what tweeter is in them?Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -

That is as close to mono's as you can get to not getting monos! Run each channel on a separate circuit! This with a good tube pre would be a superb compliment for SDA's! IMHO.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

Great price and, a few weeks back, I made a 2 level rack as proof of concept using cabinet grade maple plywood. Still need to edge band, sand, stain, finish but my wife and I were shocked at how nice it turned out. The threaded rod is a bit utilitarian but for $145 in materials (still have 1/3 of 4'x8' sheet of plywood left), it was an easy afternoon project; solid as hell.
The item FS above could be configured into several smaller racks and endless shelf height's as a result of the rod/nut design. It's worth way more than he's asking if only for materials, finish and labor.
I was swayed to build my own because prices are multiples higher for similar (or much better).
