The wife is on the mend from colon surgeries so she finally got her Quartz counter tops and tile backsplash. I had estimates as high as $1100, labor only, to do the tile backsplash. Like 32 square feet. So I took a couple days off from my ball and chain job and did it myself.
I ran out of caulk and sent her chasing for it, so that's why one section isn't done.

Going through an old shoebox with some of my fathers things in it, and ran across this.
All I know is that it belonged to my grandpa. His father was Swedish, his mother was Icelandic.
Anyone have knife knowledge and can offer some insight? One knife guy I know says it looks as if the blade was made from an old bayonet because of the indent near the spine.

Nice job, looks great. Where did you get your floor mats? Are they easy to clean? My last ones collected dirt and wouldn't let go. -

Those are WeatherTech inddor mats. I pressure wash them outside from time to time. I use a diluted SimpleGreen solution. I have a pole mounted scrub brush for tough stains.

In the corps there were only a couple ways out. This wasn't one of them.
Hurt? they would just put you in a remedial platoon until you were healthy enough
to finish boot camp. Too fat to run or do pullups? Put you in a remedial platoon
until you could. I knew a guy who spend a year in boot camp. He lost 100 lbs.
Missing your girlfriend? Bends and thrusts for a few hours a day will fix
that. The only worry you'll have is when will it end.
After boot camp? They will send you to overseas somewhere for a year.
You'll forget her pretty quick.
