    Unless you have SDA's nothing. Because of the SDA's inter-connect cable a non common ground amp can see a direct short and let the magic smoke out. It can also let out a very loud squeal.

    SDA is a type of Polk speaker. It doesn't come from other electronics like your receiver.

    Although I did once have a car that came equipped with Star Trek®.

    I’m in Indiana. @teekay0007 introduced me to an Adcom GFA5503. Was able to pick it up for under $600, including shipping.
    This is the first home audio amp I’ve ever owned (when it arrives.)
    I’ll use that for LSi25’s and an LSiC.
    Still looking for something to drive the LSi7’s.
    You guys are all great, should’ve stumbled on this forum long ago.

    So you are wanting a 3-channel amp then for the fronts and center? If so... check out this Acurus 200x3. Well liked amp. More than enough power. 3 channels and under budget. The add says he is even open to offers to include free shipping. And thats a heavy amp.

    Actually, the 5503 is a three channel, was wanting a two channel to drive the 7’s.
    @CH46E - By the way, you asked how loud I want to be able to go, is that even a question? If it’s too loud, I’m too old.

    Thats been on the bay for a LONG time. Looks killer for sure.

    They probably have a .5 ohm swing in them somewhere. It looks like he was using Aragon amps.

    I don't know what the minimum ohm load is for those amps. Anything rated down to 2 ohm stable with 1 ohm swings should do it.

    This is the specs for my Hafler XL600. I feel pretty good about that 1 ohm rating when driving my Infinity's. I know its not as nice as some of the amps you listed (Pass and McIntosh) But I think it sounds great. I'm pretty sure it would best the Adcom. Don't get me wrong here. I love Adcom amps.
