MG in the last one... it’s too ugly to be a Jag.

Yea they were pretty, but had a lot of issues.

When I was at college, one of my roommates had a used one he had partly restored and had painted it a Porsche gold color. It looked great, but it was piece of junk.

What was funny was if I met a girl or girls and they asked where I lived I would tell them the street I lived on and said there was usually a gold Jag out front.

They all knew exactly where I lived.

Yeah, yeah yeah! Love the 57's for sure, in fact all of the Tri-5's! But just like Corvettes, there are millions of em (exaggeration) all over! Now the 59 is a rare bird for sure, they were rust buckets back in the day, so you don't see a lot of em out there.

Unique, and stands out from among the crowd. That's me! :)

Glad to see the " posting machine" verb is more active lately.

I missed some of the pics of the early Chevys. Yes, that was a 58 Chevy verb not a 57 Chevy. The 58 was an unappreciated car.

My best friend in college during the late 60's had a restored 58 Chevy with a 409 engine; that car was special.

My father had 1955, 1957, and 1963 Chevys. The 57 became mine. In fact there were three 57 Chevys owned by my uncles. One of the great cars.

Toward the end of college, I had a 64 Impala that I turned the whitewalls inside in my small town. Everyone thought I was crazy. After college, I had a new 1967 Camaro.

My Grandfather had a 1960 four door Impala and a Chevy truck.

All of these Chevys came from Jones Chevrolet in Bremen Georgia.

It's been a few years, the Woodward Dream Cruise was in full force this past weekend. Found this local news page with lots of links and good information about this year's event! The Mrs and I went out this year (was out every day beginning last Wednesday), after a hiatus, and had a blast!

    https://www.wxyz.com/money/auto-news/dream-cruise

    official link:

    http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/

In addition to our regular cruisers, I had another special ride to cruise in this year!

Friday night prior to the official day of Woodward Dream Cruise the city of Berkley closes down a stretch of 12 mile road west of Woodward for it's annual Cruisefest. This is one of our favorite events, as it is immune from all the craziness of Woodward! After days of rowdiness, burnouts, you name it, everyone is just single file, just slow cruising, relaxing, and having fun!

After the parade, the road remains closed for street parties and other entertainment. My buddy and his wife are in the Trans Am in front of us!

    Great stuff, Verb! 🤩

Did the Hummer attract much attention, good or bad?

Were you able to charge it at home, or how did you manage that issue?
    Alea jacta est!

Actually mixed. Mostly thumbs up, but some looking like an electric vehicle doesn’t belong there. I get it, but we decided to head home and get the Hummer because heavy rains set in.

But the cruise is really open to all car enthusiasts. In addition to the American classics, we get lots of exotic imports, old and new, bizarre carnival cars, motorcycles, decked out commercial trucks, farm implements, you name it. Heck even the minivan cruising with the kids in the back all gawking at the awesome rides are welcome!

The first "fast" car I rode in was a red 63 Impala SS convertible with a 409 when I was a kid. A used car dealer who was a friend of my uncle brought it over to my grandmother's house and we all took it for a spin. I was hooked on speed after that ride and always wanted a fast car after that experience.
