I hope this stuff works. I was genuinely perplexed, I thought my Grundig was melting or something. Thanks to the internet I know I am not the only one with this problem.

@Clipdat no, it's a cool little radio that the manufacturer coated with some compound that over time turned into schmutz. It's so sticky that you have to wash your hands after touching it.

Not familiar with that particular radio, but am familiar with things getting that sticky schmutz on them after several years.

Really? I never saw anything like this before. Someone in one of those links said it was to provide a good grip. Mine is so sticky you almost have to shake it off of your hand to put it down.

My go to goo and grease remover. Be careful, it will suck all the oil out of your skin. Wear gloves.Home Theater/2 Channel:
