Congratulations. I retired May 1, and being retired is easy to get used to. However, just got off the phone with Social Security. Something got messed up with their paperwork, but I think it’s straightened out now.

Congrats, you'll love it. The only people I know who have issues in retirement are the ones that don't have several hobbies to keep them busy and a wife that nags them to death.

Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about my wife as I wouldn't live with a woman like that very long. Especially till retirement, lol.

Congratulations, been retired 1 year and 8 months and it just seems like a week off - almost like I could pick up where I left off at the office. I miss the action and people, but not the stress.

cant relate yet but... I’ll miss some of my co-workers. I kinda like what I did. The politics, er policies just... changed...
I omitted a few items from my above list:
    1. Watching my
    14 year old
    12 year old
    9 year old
    & two grandchildren grow up.

    2. Pursuit of New Testament history. I know at least 1000 times more than I did a year ago (when I began to study same) but, like anyone w/a thirst for the truth, I haven’t read everything available.

Be Thankful in all things; Merry Christmas

Congrats to you. I started my annual winter layoff yesterday. Being only 3 weeks away from being 64 I'm still up in the air whether to fully retire or return to work in the spring.
