I got unbanned as well. Wish I would have known I was going to get banned so I really could have done something to earn it. I want massive style points when I go out.
  • Well said. Those new SDA's look sweet, although a bit pricey for my wallet.

... which reminds me of the rejiggered lyrics to one verse in Warren Zevon's Werewolves of London from his outrageous (and very good) live album Stand in the Fire -- a reference to the snuff films that obtained notoriety in those days. :|

I saw a werewolf trying to buy a used car at Del Mar
It was a blood red Coupe deVille
He said he was drivin' it to Mexico
    Going down to Tijuana
Gonna kill somebody in a film or something

Stereo Review'srock music critic, Steve Simels' assessment of the album:
"It'll kill your houseplants." Which I took as high praise indeed. :)

PS Simels was/is my favorite-est rock/pop music critic. Ever. He's still around, blogging. I've exchanged a few e-mails with him over the years and was delighted to find him to be gracious indeed.

First time for me. It was, well, an experience. One thing I did notice, was that once attacked, we all banded together, worked as a team, communicated, consoled each other, and endured.

We're all still here! Whew! And, I may add, bonded together a bit more! ;)

It's about time you junked that '59 rust-bucket, you knock-kneed dollar store nincompoop!

Dang I had to search for this comment! I read it this morning, almost fell off the can, ahem, I mean slipped in the bathroom, and then remembered it was out there somewhere!

Why Jimmy, I didn't know you cared so much! :)

After the first two or three threads, I did not open any others, so I never saw any content.

However, I was able to locate the video just now. I’m not sure how good YouTube are at responding to such things, but for the first time ever, I reported a YouTube video for it’s offensive content. It is not sexual in nature as far as the video goes, in case anyone is wondering, but it is offensive and sexually inappropriate in the language used (and I especially object to the use of the term “faggots in California” :s ...).

On another note... these attacks were certainly disruptive for Polk as a company, but they had little to zero impact on me personally (other than some scrolling to find the “real” threads). However, I was never the subject of the attacks. I can only imagine how I would feel if it were so, and in such a relentless manner. Even with a tough skin, and having “seen it all” over the years, this is inhuman and despicable.

Kudos to @F1nut for putting such a brave face on it.

P.S. Since the perpetrator appears to use “downtime” to attack when it’s least likely that anything can be done about it, it would not be surprising if there were further attacks this weekend, unfortunately.
    Alea jacta est!

The page(s) full of icky thread titles (and user names) when selecting "new posts" was embarrassing -- especially in the context of some poor new-to-Polk (i.e., Polk curious) potential customer wandering by to look at the forum.

    IMO, that is.

Just watched it. A lot of misplaced anger going on here. Jessie is the target of some serious trauma that the poor sap hasn't dealt with yet. I'm guessing sexual assault as a juvenile, possibly incestual. We can only hope he gets the help he needs.
