well, protein and fiber, I guess.

Speaking of protein -- I don't know about nowadays, but I was told on good authority that, at least in the early days of protein-containing shampoo formulations, the (human) proteins used were from collected placentas (placentae, if you will). Nope, I've never fact-checked that, because -- eww.

PS I've gotta say, I've seen a lot of ugly things -- a placenta is way up near the top of the heap.

Did try the “sugar scrub” concoction.

Brown sugar, honey, vanilla and olive oil to exfoliate dry skin.

    Actually works.

Some girls are so crazy for the next beauty fad, you could tell them rolling in cow manure is great for the pores and exfoliates everything from their dry feet to their ashy elbows and eliminates stretch marks, and they would gladly rub it all over themselves...

Many, many years ago, I went to a meeting in Israel. The last day I was there, I took a bus trip to Jericho and to the Dead Sea (a great and fascinating outing). There are these spas along the Dead Sea that specialize in beauty treatments formulated with Dead Sea mud. I think it was/is a pretty big deal. Brought some back for Mrs. H.

Stuff was like tar, if memory serves. :#

Not much of a fad girl, more of a natural products person.

The great nieces and nephews, that's another story.

When one of them met our new dog Hazel, he said "Dope."
Apparently being called dope is a compliment...

The argot of the "kids" today changes, like, hourly, thanks to the communal technology of the 'net. :#

Don't get me started on that, but yes, dope is generally a higher compliment than awesome, amazing, etc.

Yea, dope has completely different meanings to me and none of them meant what kids today mean when using it.
Also, at least you still have enough hair to put eggs & nanners into!

    Not entirely brother.

Down to a few sprouts here and there which is what started part of the whole goofy conversation with my daughter in the first place....

Can't wait until next Sunday night after dinner conversation.... :*

Ehh, I dunno -- Our kids are both pretty well grounded -- OK, the math professor one sees the world a little differently than most folks, but that kinda comes with the territory (or maybe vice versa).

How old Doc? Pretty sure safe grown adults and therefore not “kids” anymore.
    I stand by my statement.

Very much adults (distressingly so, age-wise, to both them and to us, sometimes) -- but they definitely passed through the larval stage... I was there; I can vouch for it.
