    The ad mentions that the woofers are replacement, which could be good, or bad.

    There's a pair of Epicure that looks like them in a way. 250.00 :p

    I don't know if these are a steal or what? I think they may be though. Small Epicures seem to command high prices it seems.
    I don't want to spend the money this month and I don't have the room right now either but they haven't sold in more than a week I guess. I haven't researched this model either.

    Thanks for the insight. What about those mids and tweets? They seem to be more advanced, but are you saying those are past Norman Labs' prime? Honestly, I am probably more interested in a good HF playback...to a point.

    I actually have experience with this seller, and feel certain he would deliver them to my house, and let me audition them before deciding on purchase. And I know from past experience that he is negotiable.

    I owned a pair of NL 431s years ago. That series used a completely different tweeter than anything else NL had. It's brighter than the common Phillips tweeter, but not too bright. I really liked the dome midrange as well. I really don't understand why the woofers would've been changed out unless they were fried. The Credence woofers had nice rubber surrounds. I have a pair of 432s now, but I'd trade them for a good set of 431s in a heartbeat.

    If it was closer, I might've cashed in my jar of change to see how much more I would need. I might've offered 180.00 to start with.

    So I snagged this bad boy today. Gonna use it for my secondary rig in the basement. the casters IMO make it easy to swap things around. So I'll keep em on for now.

    Talk about a small world. Last year I bought a Oppo BDP-95 from the same guy! He moved, so I didn't recognize the address, but funny how small this community is. We talked audio for over an hour, sampled his new rig (he's a flipper), and just had a great time. Love this hobby! :smile:

    I have this same rack and I love it. although mine does have the black MDF shelves. I'll give you a bit of advice, speaking from experience with the rack... Don't even try cable management, you just can't. If you do manage it somehow, post a pic so I can see, but I've given up. lol ;)

    Overall though, it's a great rack and that's a great price! congrats!

    I see what you mean. I haven't had my hand on a solid steel rack yet. Drew has.

    I saw your Studio Tech PS6 rack on the web and it looks very solid and nice too.

    The Solid steel rack would make a great 2nd, 3rd or 4th rack for the price though.

    I just picked up a glass shelved audio rack off the side of the road one block from my house yesterday. B)
    Just in time too. Trash day was today! The rest is GONE now. :D

    It's an 80.00 rack with a broken and missing shelf. But I've already started to make a new 3/4" bottom shelf out of wood and move the now "glass bottom shelf" to where the missing shelf was. I guess I better check to make sure the threads will accept a 3/4" shelf installed! :o This is exactly the audio stand I saved from the trash;
