Yeah! The cover art is probably due to the display quality. I imagine the iPad is way better.

I noticed that it shows streaming at 320kbps, Tidal Hifi should stream at a higher rate. Is that the same with every album so have tested so far? If so I don't feel like you'll be getting the full experience. There is a BIG jump from 320kbps to 16 bit 44.1khz.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

So make sure you go into settings and set up the unit for external pre and set the volume to max. Just make sure you have the Cary turned WAY down to start. Some of the techno tracks on Tidal are way louder than other stuff.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

When I first started streaming (Slim Devices SB3 in '07 or '08) some of the tracks on my albums would play in alphabetic order and not by track #. Drove me nuts. Some tracks would be listed under an "unknown" album location and they'd be very difficult to locate afterward. I had very few issues with the Sonos Connect (great software) or the ELAC Discovery (Roon essentials) but the Node 2i (BlueOS) is reminiscent of the interface with the SB3.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

So right now, running the free trial, gonna upgrade for sure! But I gotta tell ya, the Cary really brings out the most of the HIFI setting (AAC) in the big rig!
There is so much to play with! Better digital formats, input sources, external DAC, XLR connections, et., al. Right now I just got it hooked up, via RCA IC's, stock power cord, yeah, yeah, and running the Cambridge Connect app through my rather old iPad!
The functionality is great! Loving Tidal right now!

For me, I have not bought a cd since I got Tidal and Qobuz. It has actually saved me money even with the subscription price. I find Qubuz a little better sounding BUT they don't have everything Tidal has.
I kept my Tidal subscription since it was cheap.
