    Another couple of alternative forums...

    https://forums.audioholics.com/forums/audio/general-av-discussions.8/

    http://emotivalounge.proboards.com/forum

    :)

Come to think of it, maybe this forum could be merged into a larger Sound United forum as one brand subforum. There are other brands under the umbrella of major interest now. No idea why the management hasn't done it already. Klipsch has their own.

This thread is what needs to end. Now!

    And why?
It’s a candid discussion of what Club Polk is about and where it may going

I think the idea is to be careful what you ask for...this thread seems to be asking for Polk to pull the plug

    That's quite a leap

ProBoards is still working, I just logged in, though it's been awhile and I needed to have a password reset.
So good, we have a PLan B if they take us off life support here.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I made a couple tweaks to the forum after not being on there for a bit..... hopefully that helps folks that were having problems like @mhardy6647 and @Hermitism

Actually, other than my being kinda slow when it comes to learning different board s/w, I had no problems at all. Just to set the record straight :)

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Now there is a lot that bird don't know, but it don't change the fact that the world is happening to him all the same. What I am tryin to say is, is that the course of your life, well its changing, and you don't even see it- Forest Bondurant

I wondered if it might be an adblocker (etc.) thing?
e.g., I use Chrome with ABP but no other blockers.

Nope, but good thought. I tried disabling it 3 or 4 years ago when the problem started with no positive results. I thought maybe the adblocker was preventing the options menu from showing up. I've also used several browsers, I've used a desktop, laptop and tablet. It's an issue with a software update that was implemented 3 or 4 years ago and it caused problems with random accounts. It's a known issue. Dan and I found some threads on the issue, we just aren't sure yet if it is going to fix my problem. He's gonna work on it tonight. I ended up deleting all my post when this happened, thinking that there was some sort of corruption, but that didn't help. So I can't buy or sell anything over there because I'm a newbie.

I suspect this forum generates zero revenue which can be 'measured' unless there was a subscription to join. The question becomes....how many people would pay up? Hope this is all a moot point...otherwise I will have to buy all Emotiva gear and join their forum.

Didn't get a chance to look Herm, got tied up with the parents computer build (ran into a fluke grounding/short issue with the case and motherboard it took me 5+ hours (and some texts to @ZLTFUL) to diagnose.... needless to say I went home and straight to bed. Still need to FIX the issue, but at least we know what it is now lol.....

I will try to look at those posts later tonight.

One the one hand I agree it’s hard to tell, on the other hand if they actually had a couple knowledgeable mods (and Ken was very knowledgeable but a little old school lol) and at least one customer service rep regularly checking in, a lot of service issues could be dealt with here. And a number of folks have upgraded their Polk speakers to new Polk speakers over the years in large part because of feedback here. With B&M stores almost dead, seems like this place is more important than ever. Perhaps Facebook and Twitter are more important, but I do t think this place is a money loser or irrelevant fwiw...

Perhaps if the forum could generate a 3 percent fee from every transaction in the Marketplace or whatever its called....this place would be more viable. Also, members could purchase Polk products here at a slight discount. Just thinking out loud. My current corp. day job is boring as heck so I would be interested in working on something.
