I mean you could use fiddler to trace the http posts to see where the disconnect is but I think that'd be too much effort.

I'll do some research for you.

Come to think of it, do you have any add ons or extensions on FF? You using FF Quantum?

You can try to disable each individually to see if it helps.

What a nightmare. Cleared cache and cookies, changed 3rd part settings, closed FF, then reopened, logged back in, no problem, clicked on a thread, got logged out, little tiny "X" again, took ten minutes to get logged back in.

I don't know man, sounds now like PEBKAC or ID-10T issue. I've seen it a million times, but it's usually worst on Monday mornings.

Try deleting your account in Vanilla and recreating it.
If I do, my new screen is going to be "Monosodium Glutamate".

I think we should all come back under assumed identities and see if we and the forum management can figure out who we are.

It's 5:51, Recent Discussions show that Jesse posted a message at 5:32 but when I view that thread, Jesse's 5:32 message doesn't show up.

That would be an excellent experiment! There are certain people who would be identifiable almost immediately.

That's because the OP accepted my answer, which for some really stupid reason vanilla moves my post up towards the top of the thread.

I was just reading boston's post about "accepted answers" and still didn't think to look at the top of that thread for the last post. My disdain grows!

I like this forum and the people here, but this software... I'm still baffled about how PMs work. If you delete a pm from your inbox and then the other person in that pm replies to you, common sense says it SHOULD automatically add you back to the conversation. Nope. That reply goes into outer space. I understand it working the way it does if you are having a conversation with multiple people, but I've never reached the echelon of coolness to be involved in a multi-person conversation.

When I'm having a one on one private message with someone, the whole time I'm making fun of everyone here. If I start a multi person conversation, it would be too difficult to keep track of who was in that conversation. I might slip up!

Still good. Been a PITA couple of weeks while it was broken. They should change the product name from Vanilla to Roughage.

Mark, the more I think about this, the easier I think it would be to figure out. I think we could manage to get 50% of the members correct. The other 50% would be difficult.

    Part II

pumpkinman: "Jethro Tull • Living In The Past"

Mantis: "You need to mount your surrounds to where the tweeters are 72 inches off the ground and for best results use Audioquest cables."

John Megadeth: "I have 50 ski gloves for sale. Left hand only."

New Member: "My soundbar keeps blinking!"

codycatalist: "The hashed format SQL database needs data approved script manipulation in the sub queries to reestablish change management protocols to insure no duplicates."

    steveinaz: "KSHE95, because disco sucks."

polkfarmboy: "So, do you guys shave your body hair?"

Ken Bryston: "I'd be happy to shave yours if you promise never to come back! Ever! NEVER EVER!"

pumpkinman: "Yardbirds • Roger The Engineer"

    DarqueKnight:
    Part 1
    Introduction...
    Figure 1...
    Figure 2...
    Figure 3...
    Evaluation Methodology...
    Sound Stage Charts...

lightman1: "I put the speakers in the warehouse storage facilty #9."

    Rick88: bo obs

afterburnt: "That happened to me once after a night of hard drinking."

Dabutcher: "Latest LSiM Adorama Deal" (full-res iPad screenshot of Slickdeals)

Bluefox: He'd be drinking a beer on Saturday night.

    DarqueKnight:
    Part 2
    Equipment Setup...
    Figure 4...
    Figure 5...
    Conclusion...
    General Observations & Comments...
    References...
    Associated Equipment...

pumpkinman: "Tito & Tarantula • Tarantism"...
