Trey told me the versions with yellow Kevlar tweeters are more desirable, so these may not be the best deal. I know the seller, and with the knowledge that this version doesn't bring that high of price, he might come down. Tempting.

I've seen these DIY speakers mentioned before here on CP, but not sure if these are anything special.

Exactly. As long as the MSRP is $3k or above I'm golden. ;)

    [5 speakers for $200]

That's a great deal for $200, if you have the room. Imagine how much better those would sound versus a soundbar. Even with an entry level ~$300 Onkyo AVR I bet.

Just posted in my local Craigs list free section 7 hours ago...8 track player. :D
It's too far of a drive to go get it though. :'(
I would've liked those glass shelves if they were wide enough to make a stereo stand.
And those chairs look cool too.

Only gas and time...but if I drive 50 miles and they're gone, that would suck! I just noticed there was a second pic. showing those glass shelves are wide enough to make a stand with. :) But I'm gonna pass. ;)

    100 mile round trip... :#

It was about 70 miles round trip for those 2 Sonance 1250 amps I went and got on Turkey Day for free. That was a risk too but they were there.

After a guy heard my SRS2's , he was on his way to get a pair of those BIG SRSs from Charlotte the next day. He rented a U-Haul and drove in the pouring rain all that day to get them. They were 600.00. He said it was h*#L driving that trip dragging a trailer to boot. He then had a hard time getting them to sound like my SRS2s for some reason.

I don't know what ever happened to him after that. Maybe I should call him.

I recently made an offer on a nice CD player on eBay and the guy gave me a 10% discount if I wanted it. I said I needed more of a discount so I'd wait.

The sale just ended last night with no bidding. He hasn't contacted me.

Maybe I should try my request again. :)

unfortunately no. They didn't have remote capability.

I wish. But the sound...I and all who hear it love it. But the SRS2s might have something to do with it too. ;)

I know a guy who was doing that on a weekly basis. He was trying to buy off Craigs list and sell on eBay.

He did pretty well I think. He screwed me out of some $$ but that was my fault giving him the speakers thinking he would come pay me the other 200 the next weekend.

I just went to read some of the other reviews and saw the 3rd or 4th one and the guy had trouble with his and then the dealers model. I've had mine for 15 years and only had trouble with a really scratched copy of a SRV CD. My drawer has it's moments and then the HDCD reader popped and then had distortion. But the CD reader still sounds amazing to all who hear it. I think a capacitor popped inside on the HDCD board. Should be an easy fix I hope.

I don't think I could play that game. As of recently I finally decided to sell a couple of pairs of duplicate speakers. Made a few bucks but mostly wanted to pass along a good deal to someone else.

That's me too! Pass on the karma as I like to think of it as.

I'm living proof if you pass on or give back, greater things comes your way. I now have Triton Ones...Who would've thought that!!!! Not me. :D

I also have Def. Teck BP30s. That guy screwed me on a pair of Def. Tech BP10Bs. I now have something better maybe. I like to think so.

I passed on a couple of TTs real cheap to help some old friends out last year and what do I get in return. That PRO-JECT Perspex for 200.00 w/a grado Gold and accessories. :D

    Karma is real!
