They're definitely worth 200.00 every day if they're re-foamed and all speakers work.

There's set of RS4bs 80 miles from me in Raleigh NC. for 150.00. They've been for sale for a while too. I asked for a discount since I would have to travel so far and they said NO. :s I see they're still for sale... :)

Looks like the bases are missing but no biggie.

I think their sound is on the warm side and the highs soft but detailed as can be. Easy on the ears I would say. But I heard the RS4bs with an old Fisher integrated. That probably had a lot to do with the warm sound.

But man do the RS4bs sound really nicely balanced and right. Great sound field!

They were expensive when new for sure.
I would say so. I have a pair of RS3a, and they are not warm IMO. Actually, the EMIT planar tweeters can sound bright and harsh if not matched with a good high-current amp. But when they ARE matched well...oh so nice.

Trey told me the versions with yellow Kevlar tweeters are more desirable, so these may not be the best deal. I know the seller, and with the knowledge that this version doesn't bring that high of price, he might come down. Tempting.

    [5 speakers for $200]

That's a great deal for $200, if you have the room. Imagine how much better those would sound versus a soundbar. Even with an entry level ~$300 Onkyo AVR I bet.

Just posted in my local Craigs list free section 7 hours ago...8 track player. :D
It's too far of a drive to go get it though. :'(
I would've liked those glass shelves if they were wide enough to make a stereo stand.
And those chairs look cool too.

Only gas and time...but if I drive 50 miles and they're gone, that would suck! I just noticed there was a second pic. showing those glass shelves are wide enough to make a stand with. :) But I'm gonna pass. ;)

    100 mile round trip... :#

It was about 70 miles round trip for those 2 Sonance 1250 amps I went and got on Turkey Day for free. That was a risk too but they were there.

After a guy heard my SRS2's , he was on his way to get a pair of those BIG SRSs from Charlotte the next day. He rented a U-Haul and drove in the pouring rain all that day to get them. They were 600.00. He said it was h*#L driving that trip dragging a trailer to boot. He then had a hard time getting them to sound like my SRS2s for some reason.

I don't know what ever happened to him after that. Maybe I should call him.

I recently made an offer on a nice CD player on eBay and the guy gave me a 10% discount if I wanted it. I said I needed more of a discount so I'd wait.

The sale just ended last night with no bidding. He hasn't contacted me.

Maybe I should try my request again. :)
