You’re buying the puppies? I’m mad jealous. I’d love them as a project. I remember when I was a young teenager, speaker shopping with my dad and listening to a set of watt puppies. He ultimately bought some psbs and ultimately a set of Krell res 1’s but I’ll ajways remember the watt puppies. I’d love some soneday

I'm full of speakers right now. If I had sold or given away a bunch this past year I would've given Wilson a call to see if they have surrounds for those or how much replacement woofers would cost.

No I didn't call the man or woman but I did look today to see if they were still for sale and they were. My heart beat a little faster but slowly calmed back to normal after I left that Craigs list.

I've read so much about Wilson speakers that it's almost a crime to me to NOT go get them or at least go look at how damaged those woofers are. I'm surprised they're still for sale!

MAYBE HE OR SHE WANTS THOSE POLKS TO REPLACE THEM.

You could get some real quotes/dollar figures for replacement surrounds/woofers from Wilson and then tell the seller that you researched it and it would cost "$x" to refurbish them. Might be a good strategy to get them to come down on their asking price.

LS90's in rough shape for $150, no affiliation. Drivers and tweeters appear to be in good condition, cabinets not so much. I talked to the seller and offered him a hundo, he said yes. Anyone need parts? I'll facilitate.xr5mxc7fqya8.jpg

I'll tell ya, I love the sound of my LS90s. Maybe you'll just keep them in the stable with the rest. I've kept mine for many years now and play them regularly to. Very regularly!

Polk SDA Signature Reference - $1500 (Richmond, Ky)

Not impressed cheap caps and he flubbed all the resistors by a half ohm. 22ohm instead of 22.5 ohm. Too much IMHO. Not to mention why not show your "new" cap job? I bet that board looks like stacked fecal matter.

Polk 2.3TL if you didn't notice.

    Good points for sure.

I'm just so full of audio I can't justify another major speaker purchase after the Triton Ones. I've read a lot about the Wilsons for sure but I'm drawing a small line on these. Maybe next year I'll have a lot more room to buy more speakers again. ;)

I was supposed to sell off speakers and electronics this year but only sold 2 receivers and a TT. I probably bought 4 receivers and one TT this year... Plus a bunch of speakers too. :D

I got lucky and married an angel too, but she would smite me if I tried 5.1 in the bedroom. I was able to get the sound bar and a wireless (hidden) sub. Good for you Dave. Every room full setups all over the house would be a dream for me.

Turn them 180° believe it or not it works. But yes spares are good.

Way ahead of you, and it helped for sure, but I have trust issues... so a spare is desirable.

And as I think about it, I wonder how good one (LS90) would sound as a CC? (Slight rearrangement of the tweeter not withstanding).

Somebody gave that set-up away. :o

The stores around here don't do eBay so they'd have had to price them and put them on the shelf.

I need to visit my local stores again...for the compact electronics though. ;)
