Shangri-La Mark Knopfler SACD after just rolling some signal tubes in my monoblocks and the rig sounds friggin’ sweet. Never ceases to amaze me what a difference different tubes can make. Funny also how I try to use the bang for the buck philosophy in most cases but not so much with tubes. Strictly NOS if I can help it.

David Bowie was born 72 years ago today. So this one goes on next. Bill Graham was also born this date 88 years ago today and I think it’s also Robby Krieger’s birthday. And Soupy Sales. (Yes he recorded records). Lol

    Nice Receiver.

    Thanks
I’ve been wanting to have in the mix again but the thing is so damn heavy. So I put on my big boy pants and carried it. Now I’ll need a day to recuperate.

If I were to ever get back into having a vintage receiver, that model would be #1 on my list. But the prices those things command nowadays....not to mention the weight.....

One of the benefits of living near the studios is that sometimes you find stuff like this. The quality of this is much better than the mass-produced consumer release was. Separation, tone and harmonics are brilliant.

I found this Cd at my local Goodwill many years ago. I found it to be rare too. I'd never heard of it at that time.

I like "Return to Tunguska" a lot. SRS material for sure. B)

That keyboardist starting at 4:23 is super AMAZING! :oB) Has a touch of "IsaoTomita" skills too. B)

The keyboardist who started the jam sounded like he had some Blue Man Group skills. B)

The horns are great too. The drummer...wow.

That was some production number and setting. Thanks for sharing this jam session.
