My buddy, against my advice, bought a sound bar and is now complaining abt a delayed audio vs. video response

Any advice?
AVR: Marantz SR 5011
L/ R: Polk Audio 703 LSiM (Bi Amp'd)
C: Polk Audio 255c - LS
R: Def Tech
Sub: PSW 505 (12 inch)
DVD: Oppo UDP 203
TV: 2016 Sony XBR 75X850D

    Is he connecting via Bluetooth?

    I've had issue with certain devices like Fire TV stick giving me issues with a delay in audio. try connecting whatever the device of issue is directly to the bar or vise versa to see if it helps
