Actually, USPS is more like "wait - who are you?"

    ;)

(actually, our local PO is very, very good -- at least mostly)

Mark is that Deeking Oaks area just off Forest Ave ? If so - the old Post Office across the street IS the original State of Maine capital which is now in Augusta. I usta pick up loaded trailers in Portland going to Florida.

    oooh -- some kinda Studebaker.

Personally, I would not mind having an Avanti, of any vintage (i.e., Studebaker or post-Studebaker).

There was (perhaps still is) a guy in Ayer MA with a late model (late 1980s, methinks) Avanti convertible -- used to see it all of the time in the general area when we lived in Harvard.

Sorry -- I don't know :p I was just riding shotgun. It was smack dab in the city, near the hospital.
EDIT: Derp. Just looked on a map. Yes, it was (still is, I reckon) :)

She may be rollin' back over there tomorrow -- as of this morning, the hawk was still being reported. It had been transiently run off by a red tailed hawk the afternoon we were over there (Thursday) :p

    We saw the red-tail. :|

Didn't MAD MAX drive one of those to start his trilogy? His family station wagon that is.
    I guess not...but close though!

Right -- this is a post-Studebaker Avanti. They were made for many years after Studebaker left the US. Until 2006 (sort of), according to Wiki-P.

We had some nice dark skies recently with the new moon (and even a clear night or two). We went out lookin' for the comet (with binos and our eyes) but didn't see it.

Even though it was not a success, it is thought to hold some records as the world’s slowest production jet aircraft, the world’s only production jet biplane, the world’s only agricultural jet plane, and subjectively the ugliest jet aircraft ever put into production.

    My overly complicated work setup.

    tayadxcy6q4u.jpeg

    Technics SL-B3 -> Sherwood S-7128B (acting as a phono pre) -> Stock RCA's -> Harman Kardon Signature 2.0 pre-amp -> MIT RCA's -> Little Dot headphone amp -> Beyerdynamic DT-770 32 ohm headphones

I also have my iPhone I will chain to the Harman Kardon as needed....

Soon to have that awesome Karma cartridge added...

I also may move my Carver C-1 here to work as it would allow me to consolidate quite a bit, but for now I like my little vintage display
