TMZ has just reported that Prince (aka Prince Rogers Nelson) died this morning. Not much else is known about it yet.

RIP - another of music's icons taken way too early. :'(

They said he had to land his plane to go to the hospital a few days ago but I didn't think it would lead to this! R.I.P. Prince...

I have some good buddies who went to college at Wisconsin-River Falls and like John saw him when he was coming up quite often in Minneapolis. They told me back then about this awesome performer and awhile later he was on early MTV. Little Red Corvette is still a great song. RIP.

That might be, but they break most of these stories and they are usually 99% correct. In this case they are correct.

He would come off stage and mingle with the crowd after most of his sets. He and Dez used to also drop by a restaurant where I worked as a busboy. I remember Dez had his hair cut in a mohawk back then, dyed like a skunk, complete with a tail. Fun times to have grown up.

Talented dude for sure. I wonder why so many are going so early. You think maybe because they were so effed up earlier that their body finally gave up trying ? If so, how do you explain Keith Richards then ?

I dunno man, 57....way too early. Musical genius he was, RIP.

To get through this thing called life
    Electric word life
It means forever and that's a mighty long time
