This is another synchronicity morning. Chum, I was thinking about putting on the 4 Way Street vinyl when I got up early this morning for some reason. Didn't play it, but was looking at it thinking what a good album it was, decided to put on a Cd for some reason, then I saw later on the thread you had played it. Msabot1, you ever see Hawkwind? Saw them in the late 70's at a little place called the Electric Ballroom in Milwaukee. It was a great show. They later turned the Electric Ballroom into a strip joint, now its in the ghetto.

Dro...never got to see em live..have a couple Hawkwind LP's though! It's too bad about all the old venues...gone now! Have a friend that lived up in White Fish Bay, we had some good times at a place called the Zoom Zepple.Probably gone too!! dig that Freak Out LP! Is this phase one of lumpy gravy?? Chum...never could figure out why they put that on the back of albums....just makes sense to do it right? I mean who would listen to em at low volume anyway...no impact!!!

Msabot1: I think I have Space Ritual and Quark, Strangeness and Charm. Maybe one other, I will have to look later. I remember them playing that song, "Hassan I Sabbah" and the place being in a total trance. Have to throw one of those albums on tonight. Hawkwind is another band that was kind of on top of the world for awhile but now lots of people never heard of them. Glad you brought them up.

Heck ya..they were another group that would just set up and play for free...I've probably forgotten more than I have...I never got rid of any of my LP's and I'm glad of that! Every time I put on one of those old ones it brings back beaucoup memories...now for a little Buffalo Springfield...Again!

Good afternoon, gentlemen. I'm currently listening to the DCC 24K gold version of the Eagles "Hotel California". My, My, my. They did a reaaaaaally good job with this one! My ears are thanking me as I type.

I agree. It was also the last album featuring original bass player and singer Randy Meisner. DCC did a really good job with the remastering of this album, unlike my last DCC album of Bonnie Raitt's "Luck Of the Draw" Album. That one sounded much like the original CD with only a few minor enhancements. With the Eagles album, you notice the difference with the first note and it just keeps getting better and better. Great recording!
