O yea..forgot to mention..that cassette thread got me looking through some old shoeboxes for a couple of live ditties I taped off MTV back in 83 or so...U2 live at Red Rocks...and a live concert by Roxy Music done in Paris...Surprisingly both play and sound as good now as back then! Simulcasts off TV...fed into my FM tuner and taped....Glad I Found These!!

Got some real nice IC's recently from Pepster. Been listening to stuff I know like the back of my hand, and I'm hearing much better separation, better tone on guitars, organ, bass, cymbals, stuff I've never heard before coming out of those speakers. And they're not even fully broke in yet.
    I'm really enjoying this music.
This one was one of the albums Carlos Santana, Keith Richards and some others sort of engineered to help John Lee get more general recognition towards the end of his career. You get Albert Collins, Johnny Winter, Robert Cray, Carlos Santana, Keith Richards, Van Morrison John Hammond. One of my favorite John Lee Hooker albums. I saw John Lee in Berkeley in 1978 at the Keystone and there were maybe 50 people there at the most. He had an entourage of hot chicks with him, and it cooked.

Two of Styx's better offerings Styx was a better band with John Curulewski as lead Guitarist, IMO, were they more popular with Tommy Shaw yes, but the combo of JY & JC was better The Serpent Rising is my favorite Styx LP's.
