Funny, I thought these would be the easiest thing in the world to sell on this forum, especially in the condition they're in?

How's $600 sound? That will help pay for gas to come get 'em....and don't forget the extras that F1 and Conradicles were offering!

Trust me, its the location not the speakers. The piano black finish looks immaculate as do the speakers themselves. If my uncle was still in St. Pete I would be telling him to go pick them up and hold them for me. But he's not and I dont have extra cash right now....

Soooooooooooo True, If you were in my part of the country I would have grabbed the 5 seconds after you put them up for sale even with out the extra's.

I would love to buy your SDA-1C speakers. I have had the SDA-1 model for 25+ years as the original owner but alas, they are now in poor condition. I live in Denver which is 2000 miles away so driving for local pick-up is a serious challenge. I did find a quality shipper that is used on ebay for large speaker packaging and shipping. This would by my 65th birthday/retirement present - is there any way to work this?

Sorry PaulOne, but I just don't trust something this heavy and scratchable (piano black gloss finish) to a shipping company when I don't have original packaging. Local pickup only.

    I think that is true.
Also 120.00 monthly phone bills that people now pay, and the mobile society restricts anything heavier than a suitcase to be considered a household purchase.

I just bought a set of the SDA 1C's and they fit in my 1995 Camry's back seat. Laying on their sides. So you don't nessesarily need that SUV after all.

Best set of 1C's in the country.....600.00.
    can't last much longer.

Yea. I just can't figure out a way to make it happen. That system is beautiful and I know what great sound can be produced. If wishes were fishes ...

WOW! $600 really is an amazing deal considering all of the modifications. Heck, it was an amazing deal at $700! As others have said, if you were closer they'd be in my livingroom...

It's obvious that any number of Polkies above or elsewhere would buy these. So the thing is to get creative. Form a CHAIN between someone who can buy them and a few others who would volunteer to do some driving (even if for a small fee....or gas). Where's Lightman1 when you need him. Russ, for example, delivered my SDAs from N.C. to Pa. I paid him a small fee and covered the gas going and coming?

In this case a few or you could move this almost anywhere? I can't help much because I'm on the other end of the N/S Eastcoast--as far aways from Florida as you can be on this side?

    Help move them!

Just do what my dad did when he bought his 1.2TL's, tell your wife that you talked about it and pretend like you both agreed it was a great idea:biggrin:

Sigh. I could drive from Denver to Dallas, TX area for a pick-up but that is as far as I could reach but it's a long way from there to where they are in Florida. I just can't be away from home long - family health reasons. Very creative idea though.

I wish it was that easy but i cant sneak anything past her especially audio gear:frown:. I would love to snatch them up but without having the power needed to push them it would be a shame. One day i shall be the proud owner of some sda's:smile:

You are a prince. Alas, I just need to rachet down on this and move on.
I saw a 3.1tl for sale (unmodified with all the upgrades you did on the 1Cs) and without the interconnect but look in good shape - I'll probably check this out further.
Good luck with your sale - it's a fine piece of work you've done on those speakers!

FYI, all the beautiful work was done by (Eric) Conradicles, I deserve no credit for their pristine condition. Good luck with your search!
