I have an old AR XA turntable that still sounds great.I am wondering if i should put new cables on it going to my amp.Has anyone done this on a table?Does it help with the sound?Any ideas what to use?
Thanks,

Instead of replacing the cables with other cables, you might want to consider replacing the original cables with RCA jacks. That way you can try different interconnects.

I removed the cables that were permanently attatched to my Yamaha PF-800 turntable and replaced them with heavy duty Cardas RCA jacks. The Monster cables I currently use provide significantly more resolution than the stock cables.
