What are some good Female Vocalist to check into.

I am a big time fan of ballads. I simply enjoy an artist that can sing ballads very well. When auditioning some speakers recently, The guy put on a song by Herbie Hancock and Christina Aguilera called a Song For You. All I say is wow, she simply blew me away. I have heard that song by other artist, and none sung it with the depth and passion she did. I was in awe and had to have that song so immediately picked that up. I am looking for some great female vocalist who have good ballad albums. Thanks

    I'm not sure what a ballad is, but two female vocalists I have been buying lately are Diana Krall and Tierney Sutton. Their styles are similar, and many of their CDs are on SACD. Hear me now, and believe me later, they sound good.
