I am a big time fan of ballads. I simply enjoy an artist that can sing ballads very well. When auditioning some speakers recently, The guy put on a song by Herbie Hancock and Christina Aguilera called a Song For You. All I say is wow, she simply blew me away. I have heard that song by other artist, and none sung it with the depth and passion she did. I was in awe and had to have that song so immediately picked that up. I am looking for some great female vocalist who have good ballad albums. Thanks

Here are some good suggestions.
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68788Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Patricia Barber and Lizzie West have been getting a lot of playtime recently here.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Thanks Ben, I see someone has asked this topic before. Looks like that thread will be quite helpful. -

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

edit: nevermind... I missed the "ballad" partI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

No love for Sarah? I'm disappointed in you guys. :frown:~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Oh yeah, I love her too... The female singing voice is my favorite instrument... I could list at least 50 of my favorites, but I won't take up too much space here...
It would be welcome space based on the rest of the garbage threads lately....post away Rick.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -

I always find any of the Celtic Woman dvds to be great to showcase the system and besides, who ever gets tired of being mesmerized by beautiful, talented women who can sing like angels.Oh, I almost forgot the knockout little blonde violinist:) Totally recommend!

I'm not sure what a ballad is, but two female vocalists I have been buying lately are Diana Krall and Tierney Sutton. Their styles are similar, and many of their CDs are on SACD. Hear me now, and believe me later, they sound good.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
