i believe the audiophile units and the ones designed for computer use are essentially the same electronically, only difference is that the audiophile units are in a nicer box :)

I bought the Monster HTS3600MKII and it sounded terrible. Everything was harsh, the sound was bloated, and the highs were painful to listen to.
What did you end up getting? I just picked up a BPT 3 Signature by accident and I'm considering selling my Panamax 5510 AC regenerator.

I understand the audio units have filters DESIGNED specifically for audio applications. However, even when NOT hooked up to an amp (just to the source components), the sound changed for the worse.

I would consider the PS Audio Duet or Quintet. I have both and loves their benefit and functionality.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I'm deciding between the Belkin and Panamax UPS units.

i have a Panamax M5500ex that I would like to sell. If your interested in it , drop me a PM. I will give you a good deal on it. I got everything including the original box.
If you do a search on my gear pic's, you can check it our living in my rack.
