    Last night had a few 24 oz. "Steel Reserve" 211 High gravity 8.5% lagers. Quite tasty and a few is all it takes. Three 24 ouncers @ 8.5% alcohol does the trick after a long hot day on the car lot.:cool:

    I can't remember what it was, but we bought some Pear Cider in London last week that was pretty interesting. Not that strong at 4.5%.

    Tasted like something between beer and a sweet dry cider.

    Anyone know what that might have been...Euro for sure.

    Tonight is a special night for me. I am celebrating the life of my grandmother and my best friend (both passed away recently). I broke out a bottle of wine I received as a wedding present back in 1995. A bottle of Petrus 1971 to go along with 2 steaks,a sweet potato,fresh green beans,and for desert.............blueberry pie. I have kept on drinking and now I am on to a local wine, Naked Mountain. Very good and very popular here in Richmond.

    Y'all are drinking some good stuff.

    I'm sitting in a hotel in Lex, KY having a couple Svedka and whatever I have to mix it with. (Last minute graps before I hit the road for a 10 day trip with the wife and two kids)
    That means a couple of Bloody Marys, a couple Vodka Tonics. Something to take the edge off a 1000+mile road trip (each way)

    First time going this far with both kids (11 months and 2 1/2 yrs). Covered about 500 miles today and at least half of it was filled with crying. My wife had a minor breakdown before we even left the house. Good thing I know how to deal with stress ;) C2H5OH!

    Did a Scotch tasting last night with some good friends; we went through about 10 different varieties (Bowmore, Caol Ila, Cragganmore, Glenkinchie. Glenmorangie, Highland Park, Laphroaig, Littlemill, Macallan (10 and 12 years), a Murray McDavid with a Zinfandel finish, and ended with the Aberlour A'bunadh I mentioned in a previous post. All went very well, we prefer the Highlands/Speysides to the Islays (which are very peaty with a high phenol count) and had a great time. I picked up a bottle of Talisker, the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, and it was very similar to the Islays, but not as severe. I like good Scotch!

    Tonight: Coors Light with the neighbors -- yuck.
