haha you're seriously one of the biggest **** i have ever seen on a forum. You try and make everyone else sound stupid, but you just make an **** out of yourself.

Correct not all toroids are created equal but they do have some common traits that make them the preffered choice over standard EI core types. In general they are smaller for the same VA rating, have higher efficiency and have lower mechanical hum and stray magnetic fields.Transformer design can be quite an art, and companies like Plitron (a supplier to many a Hi end audio company) put a lot of research and development into designing their leading edge hi tech toroids.

Back to the topic at hand - I'll talk you into buying Emotiva. Just received my MPS-2 and the fact that you get to assemble this beast, lets you see the quality of the components and product generally.

I'm not necessarily into the "brand names" as such and if it sounds good to me, then I'm happy. I acknowledge that the big brand names have earned their stripes and reputation and deserve to be there, but sometimes they "trade" on that name with not essentially a better product than product X.

As stated previously, if you don't like the Emo product, you can certainly send it back and try something else. Good luck with your amp endeavours.
