The Redskins will surrender a second-round pick this year (No. 37) and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year.

I'm gonna puke!

Another perfect football move by Reid.

Eagles are a better team, watch for Vick to be gone at draft time also.

Wasn't Reid supposed to be moved out of the GM position this year? WTF?

Poor McNabb. Ive never been a fan of his and thought he was overrated but he doesnt deserve the crap he gets. This is a good move for the 'Skins cause they DESPERATELY needed a new QB and now with Shannahan coaching there, I think this could be a good thing for him. I dont think Reid will ever get to a Super Bowl.

Nothing gets done without Reid's blessing, no matter what title is hung on him.

I no longer second guess his moves, he has proven me wrong way to many times in the past. Watching Donovan last year was very painful and the timing seems right.

It's just the history of the Eagles. It's why it sucks to be a Eagles fan. Every few years we throw out our good players and don't bring in what we need.

it seems to me an outsider that McNabb was never going to be beloved in Philly unless he brought in a Super Bowl win.. he got off to the wrong foot when Philly took him instead of Ricky Williams(brilliant btw as we saw what happened to him for a few years, he's now back on track) by being booed by the fans at the draft and they were never satisfied.. I also think that if they had won the SB when they went, TO would be a more beloved player than Donovan.. but that's just an outsiders opinion, i could be wrong :)

Nothing personal against you but I'm so sick of hearing about him being booed by the "fans" on draft day. That was one jerk off radio host who got a bunch of **** together to play their Ricky Williams agenda and as usual anti-Philly fans hang on to the negatives of a few, just like the throwing of snowballs at Santa Claus 100 years ago. OR just like when Michael Irving got hurt. I was at that game, most of the fans were applauding him as he was being carted off the field just like any other player, a few **** were cheering with glee, what's remembered!?! the ****. We get a bad rap because of a few asshats.

Most Eagles fans were happy about getting McNabb. However, he showed us that as talented as he is, he just can't make the plays when they count. He would, once in a while but when it really needed to get done he choked. It didn't help him that he had Reid making all the calls.

Reid was the winningest coach for years but when it counted he couldn't adjust and win a pile of dog ****.

Eagles fans are the most passionate, loyal, patient fans in the entire world and we get **** on every year and always have to resort to "well next year."

I've never been a McNabb fan but he hasn't had a good receiver corps the last couple of years. His options were limited. I wish him luck. He'll need it.

Unfortunately when he did have a good receiver corps he underthrew, overthrew or just missed them being open in many, many cases.

I always gave Donavan the benefit of the doubt but after watching him for years he just didn't seem to learn from his mistakes. It also didn't help that Reid handcuffed him by not letting him use his natural talent to make plays.

Yes it's true. Before the new stadium was built there were certain portions of the 700 level that was just full of animals who did nothing but get stupid drunk and start fights with fans from other teams wearing their team colors. Another fine example of a few buttheads causing a bad rap on the real fans.

Raise the glass and have a drink to these statements, all true. I will add that Mornhinweg as a play caller is just as poor as Reid. Wish he would go away too.

The Eagles currently have a fantastic receiving corps as they sit, they did not keep McNabb, that speaks volumes to the accuracy of Kolb. We'll see!

Add a little defensive backfield help and a really explosive runningback and watch out.

nothing personal taken. that's why I prefaced it with a from an outsiders view, as that's what we see in the media. I understand why they traded him too but I also really think it was dumb to do it in division.. we shall see if they made the right move..

I think the Redskins are looking good this year!

I live in the Philadelphia area, and EVERYONE I live near and work with is a huge fan. Not me...

Anyway...I think it was the right move, but it may come back to bite them twice a year...we'll see.

I could never understand why Philly fans always hated McNabb. He took the Eagles to numerous Conference Championship games (yes, I know it was not the Superbowl...) and frankly, football is a team sport, so to pin coming up short so often on McNabb...I don't get it. You can do alot worse in the NFL for a QB...IMO.

    Anyways....GO BEARS.

Dosen't matter if you can do worse, not the idea.

His shortcomings were the reason for several crucial losses over a span of many years, even though we are talking about a team sport. He was not the reason for the numerous great runs, the coaching and good talent level were the contributors.

Just look at the the typical McNabb performance in the final game against Dallas, inept to say the least.

Stu that's why I said "some portions" of the 700 level. I had season tickets for years in the 753 sections and I can tell you there were some real animals in that section that should never have even been allowed in the stadium. Now that the new stadium has built I believe the "Jail" below the stadium is rarely used.

Dude, I've been trying to make it clear, most Eagles fans loved McNabb. It is/was the press that always sensationalized the "hate" and "misbehavior" of the fans.

Joe I understood your position. Those days of 700 level were something to behold. Have only been in the new stadium a handful of times... the best thing I have seen there was Springsteen"s opening, 13 rows center from the stage (awesome). The football suffers imo. The jail had lawsuit problems I believe.
