I've never been a McNabb fan but he hasn't had a good receiver corps the last couple of years. His options were limited. I wish him luck. He'll need it.
Unfortunately when he did have a good receiver corps he underthrew, overthrew or just missed them being open in many, many cases.

I always gave Donavan the benefit of the doubt but after watching him for years he just didn't seem to learn from his mistakes. It also didn't help that Reid handcuffed him by not letting him use his natural talent to make plays.

Just to expound on this. Reid forced Donavan to stick to his mutated West Coast Offense which is 20 some years old and has been figured out by every team in the league. He wouldn't let Donavan use his natural talent to make plays, no, he forced him to stay put, and check down the line the four receivers in each play leaving some stupid saftey valve as a last resort.

I'm willing to bet that Shanahan takes the shakles off Donavan and let's him use that great talent he has to make plays when he sees fit. I'm also willing to bet that in such circumstances McNabb flourishes in Washington because of it and it is going to come back to bite the Eagles in the **** twice each year.

0The most underrated qb in history!!!!!

    You misspelled overrated.

Underrated would be someone who always wins but never gets talked about. Donovan has spent his career being one of the most talked about players in the NFL but never winning hte big one. See the distinction there?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

John (Jstas) would be drooling all over this thread!;) I wonder if he is okay?

Why are you worried about me?

And why would I be drooling about this? I've been saying for years he's an over-rated choke artist and Philly held on to him 5 years too long. Now, get rid of Reid and get a coach worth something and get to playing football. I'm glad to see McNabb gone. If anything his experience will help Washington so he can probably do more good there.

I feel bad for Campbell though. I know I've been highly critical of him in the past but at least 50% of the QB problems for Washington stem from an offensive line that can be folded more times in a game than a AAA Highway Map. McNabb can scramble but not like he could 5-6 years ago. He's going to end his career in Washington if that O'line doesn't improve. In fact, I'd say that is Washington's biggest problem. They have shown they can score and their defense can go toe to toe with any other team and best them. Campbell was a smart QB but when you are consistently given nothing to work with, what can you expect from the guy? Anyway, I hope Campbell lands on his feet somewhere that can use him. He's a decent QB and I think a good O-line would make him above average.

On a side note, Dallas dropped Flozell Adams and Ken Hamlin. Sorry to see Hamlin go. He was dropped just because he cost too much money. Hope somebody will pick him up. Adams though, his size will be missed but his penalties won't nor will his childish outbursts and tirades.

Really because you are usually all over these types of threads and I was concerned that maybe something happened to you. I'm a big hearted guy, ya know.

Nothing personal against you but I'm so sick of hearing about him being booed by the "fans" on draft day. That was one jerk off radio host who got a bunch of **** together to play their Ricky Williams agenda and as usual anti-Philly fans hang on to the negatives of a few, just like the throwing of snowballs at Santa Claus 100 years ago. OR just like when Michael Irving got hurt. I was at that game, most of the fans were applauding him as he was being carted off the field just like any other player, a few **** were cheering with glee, what's remembered!?! the ****. We get a bad rap because of a few asshats.

Most Eagles fans were happy about getting McNabb. However, he showed us that as talented as he is, he just can't make the plays when they count. He would, once in a while but when it really needed to get done he choked. It didn't help him that he had Reid making all the calls.

Reid was the winningest coach for years but when it counted he couldn't adjust and win a pile of dog ****.

Eagles fans are the most passionate, loyal, patient fans in the entire world and we get **** on every year and always have to resort to "well next year."

No spoilers, but Odin was a massive **** at first and has been by far the biggest challenge in the game. Took me a good 15 attempts and then I just turned the game off for an hour. Came back and got his **** on the first take.

The fight after that is so badass. ;)

The linear gameplay sucks at first, but then you have to realize the first 4 chapters or so is pretty much just a tutorial. The Paradigm Shifts really make the fights a lot more interesting. There's a lot of strategy at play with those.

All in all it's a good game that I'm mostly happy with. I prefer open world, but I understand they probably couldn't have told the story as well that way, and the story has been great so far. Cinematics are very good and there are lots of them.

That's your opinion. Even if you wanted to look past the monumental conflict of interest of the people raking Toyota execs over the coals in front of Congress, which you can't do and call yourself honest, the treatment they are getting from the government is beyond the pale.

If Toyota is such a **** company, let them fail rather than turning this into a political witch hunt and hiding behind the skirt of safety.

Some of Toyota's vehicles have problems and they're being addressed. The rest of this **** is a goddamn circus. The only people loving this are the government, the UAW, and anyone that lets their brand bias trump principal. The number of jobs these people are destroying in this witch hunt is disgusting.

Honestly, I see this backfiring on them. Toyota comes out stronger than ever IMO.

Only you'll know for sure what to do, but this is a buyers market. I wouldn't settle on a problem house. Even if the seller agrees to do all the necessary repairs they can screw you by half-assing it. As long as you're not in a rush, you can afford to be really picky as a buyer.

You should end up with a house you'll both love and you should be able to get that house for a lot less.

Good luck with whatever you do.

Not even close. I don't know how you could possibly glean that from anything I have said in this thread.

No. Poor assumption on your part. It was tommyboy who said Tiger is just a golfer and that what he does off the course is his private life. That, in my opinion, is ****.

I would agree if I was only friends with him. If I was friends with both of them I would likely feel obligated to support the victims, which in this case are his wife and kids.

If he wasn't married with children I wouldn't really care either.

If someone stiffs you in the flea market would you judge them? I would. I'd probably never buy from them again. That's making the judgment that said person is not worth buying from because they can't be trusted. Stop being so afraid of the word.

    Judgment, judgment, judgment....ooooh! :D

The point was that the argument tommyboy made that he's just an athlete and that's all that matters is a steaming pile of **** unless there's something wrong with the person who takes such a position.

Yeah, cheating on a spouse isn't murder, just like stealing a pack of gum isn't cheating on your wife, but there are certainly things an athlete could do off the course (in this case) that would cause any normal person to give pause. So no, he's not just a golfer in my opinion.

Hey Joey, I know you're not real bright and all, but you're the guy who sits on Club Polk all day long getting offended and reporting people. You reported me in the other thread and got the moderators in my business. Hence pointing out your mouth isn't exactly clean either. I make no bones about it.

"He who is without sin, cast the first stone!" indeed.

Here's to hoping you find a clue. Why they let you back on this forum I have no idea.

Jeez Dave, I thought we were horsing around, hence the smiley faces in both the posts and the "tag you're it" in the PM.

I'm sorry you feel that way.

BTW I'll put my IQ against yours anyday!:D;)

Have fun doing your thing. Sorry I misinterpreted your first post, I guarantee I won't make that mistake again.

IIRC you have a ban or two under your belt.

Anyway no harm, no foul, just keep on truckin' and enjoy the music.
