After my Totem 3 hour experience I know for a fact I'm a speaker lover over all other things audio and video. Wires comes close and so does amps but Speakers is where it's at. I kinda love them all in all of their special ways.

If you saw the price of some women's shoes you would faint:( She hardly wears half of them, and you can't even listen to them:(

as long as they're not open-toed or those little strappy kind... you could probably hold one up to your ear and hear the ocean.

Why do I have the Eagles song Those Shoes stuck in my head now...?

EDIT: On topic again... here's the deal. The "tone" or "voice" of loudspeakers is a big, big derterminant of what you hear from a hifi. I like really, really present/palpable/tangible and (ideally) accurate midrange. There are a few paths to this (as far as I am concerned), big ol' theatre horns, electrostatics, and single-driver ("fullrange") speakers. There's a pair of each flavor of these in my living room.

Let's not speak of what's in the basement, OK?

I'm with Mantis on this one....amps, cables, sources are all important...but give me a good sounding pair of speakers any day. The best often sound 'good' with almost anything. It's really one of the best investments in sound anyone can ever make. That's why we keep buying them and warehousing them...many of them.

    :rolleyes:Yep, I agree.
They all have personalities like us and sometimes I like one over the other depending on moods.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

That would probably freak some druggies out as they would think they are in the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey.

LOL! "My God, they're full of stars"!
Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!
