Other hobbies? I get into...

So,...what other hobbies does everyone have?

Me,...I have a few...

I have a HotWheels collection of over 3000 pieces. Not counting track sets and other miscellaneous paraphernalia. The vast majority are still in original blister packs including 60's 70's and 80's models and many limited edition pieces.

I also have a hundred or so vintage plastic model cars and trucks...95% sealed.

One of my favorites are my Slot Cars. At the previous house, I had a 6' x 23' 4-lane layout with 20' straightaways, banked curves, hair-pins, etc... I modify the cars with lightweight bodies, custom rewound and balanced armatures, different ring and pinion combos (depending on car), custom ground tires, etc... Having a half dozen buddies over for race night with a few beers...good time! Hopefully I will have everything back together soon. I am currently partitioning the basement in the new place for a sound room and race room.

I am also a fisherman. I do a little bass fishing on occasion, I used to belong to and fish with BassMasters, but my real love is Bluegill. Where I live, I have access to many hidden and private farm ponds where we use ultralight rods to catch monster 'Gills all day long. There is NOTHING like a plate of Bluegill fillets and fried 'taters!

I've got two Texas Bluegill in my Pacu tank, just about big enough to eat. Cool fish.

Bluegill are cool looking fish. I've always wanted a tank full of bluegill, crappie and large mouth bass. Just like the ones they have at Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops. Just as big too. Until then, I'm happy with my Australian Arowana.

Bass fishing. Haven't been but once, in the past three years. Hope to go some this year. Bass boat in driveway rotting away. :( Used to tournament fish a lot, but can't afford it anymore.
Also enjoyed playing guitar. Left hand has messed up, and can't chord anymore, so it's very frustrating. I really miss it.

I've done a lot of stuff over the years, but right now my primary hobby has been remodeling our house.

I have been looking at my bicycles lately, and thinking I need to take my noisemakers out to the desert.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I think we're going overboard here fellas. The rules state that no posts on weapons or explosives are allowed on this site. There is nothing there saying you can't mention your hobby be it knives or guns as long as a discussion doesn't ensue or pictures posted. That's the way I understand it.
    4) Pornography and violent images are not allowed on this forum. This includes posts about weapons or explosives. Duh.

If I'm wrong mods please correct me.

Great! I am suprised to see that there are others that get into slot cars and other "toys".
I also have a 4-wheeler (Kaw 650 Prairie) that I love trail riding with. I have some of my own trails, but more importantly, I have riding privileges on the surrounding property.

I hunt ancient tools and flint points as well! Great place for it with the Paleo, Hopewell, etc.. that roamed this area. I have several sites I hunt every year that no doubt were occupation sites. One of the best is in the fields around the remains of a glacial lake that is maybe 5 minutes away.

Here are a few pics of some of my favorite pieces. I have hundreds of broken ones..heart breakers.

he's joking because the post mentions arrowheads which are a waepon of sorts, and he's frustrated that he can't talk about his weapons, as am I, so I liked his joke. I don't think it's that big of a deal to either of us (sorry to speak for you, lasareath); if I wanna talk guns I can go to a gun forum - but I like it here, and I like you guys; there are too many wackos in gun forums! :)

    Here's the rule:

"Pornography and violent images are not allowed on this forum. This includes posts about weapons or explosives."

I think it's all about not offending people and using common sense. I'm not a gun guy but if someone wanted to post pictures of guns in the context of a gun collecting hobby, I would not be offended.

A discussion inciting violence or pictures of violence are a different animal.

Lasareath, why don't you PM the mods about what you want to discuss/show and see if they would find it objectionable?

It's already been made very clear in the past. I don't see it changing.
