Same here, I got a lot of mine recently because the Movie Gallery a few miles away from the base got shut down and they were selling everything. I got about 20 of them, and most were very recent titles for around $250. Then some here and there from Wally World for $10 on older releases that have been reformatted in Blu Ray, and of course the occasional must have new release's that run around $22 at the BX here on base.

Wow, you are probably the first person I have heard say something negative about Blu Ray. IMHO, if your HDTV is calibrated right and your HT is setup right there is no comparison between the two. I even had an upconverting DVD player (plus my PS3 upconverts as well) and even then Blu Ray blew it out of the water. Get yourself a PS3 or an Oppo and see what you think then, lol.

I am still mixed color, red and blu. For those who forgot, Red was the color of HD-DVD ases. I was kinda surprised when I just took a rough count, but I now have over 50 BluRays, but also still have more than 30 HD-DVDs. It was more even, but I converted a bunch using the Warner Red2Blu program. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Somewhere around 40ish right now and counting. I have about 10 in my amazon cart and as soon as they hit the price I want I buy a few at a time to take advantage of the free shipping. Can't wait for Saving Private Ryan in just over a month!

I didn't really get into watching movies until I got my TV and first BDP 3 years ago. Probably have around 40 now. I think it makes it easier for me to buy re-releases on blu since I never owned them on DVD.Panny 55-st30 plasma

Jeff, I will digress....I guess what I meant was BluRay was not so much better that it justified the inflated prices of the movies....It was however a better picture and sound. Keep in mind, my Panny is 720P. I will eventually try Blu again.....just waiting for the prices of the movies to level out a bit. As it stands I have about 1000 SD DVD's. In no way did I mean Blu was inferior to std.Polk Audio Surround Bar 360

As per Blu-ray.com I have 52 titles right now, with another couple hundred on regular dvd. I won't be replacing the dvd's with blu-rays unless I lose them or a MUCH improved version comes out on BR. I also won't be buying anymore dvd's though. Seems pointless when you can use the blu ray website or amazon to find most anything you want at prices very similar to dvd pricing.2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

I have over 30 movies on Blu ray. I have over 20 on HD DVD. I was going to replace them to Blu but I figured I don't watch them a lot and I still have a HD DVD player and I also have a Toshiba HD DVD at our store just waiting for me to take home if something happens to mine. I might even just take it home just because.Dan

I voted "None, no player" yet. But I actually have had a couple players, just don't have one right now, and I don't ever buy discs, just rent them.

No Blu-ray player yet here. I haven't even upgraded to a Hi-Def TV yet though...so the Blu-ray player upgrade is probably still 2-3 years off. I'm not in a big hurry. The nirvana inducer-

Roughly 60 Blu's with about 20 HD-DVD's. The only channels I watch anymore are in HD. I get itchy feet when at someone's house and they have regular cable broadcast. I am constantly squinting trying to get it to come into focus. After a while I try and convince them to turn it off and play some music.
I buy all my discs at pawn shops and support our local thiefs. At least that is what I have been told.Home Rig
