Being a movie buff, I love to add them to my collection. Have scored 50. However, I still go for DVDs as I can’t afford them all the time.

Looks like the only category lacking is the one I am in, lol. Got Hurt Locker today in Blu Ray, so I'm up to 44, lol.

Stay away from buying a bdp as hdmi 1.4 is going to be needed for true 3D bdp's specification

I only own 6 blu-ray movies and a PS3. Very nice, but still content with SD and my up-converting Yammie. Thanks to BR, DVD's can be had for next to nothing, used and I have at least 2000 titles now. :D

I think the "mom and pop" rental store I frequent might not even have 2000 titles. In my little town you could hang out a shingle and put that many titles to paying work for you! :D

I think my collection is up to somewhere around 65 or so haven't counted in a little while. I try to buy ones that I do not have on dvd already but some I have in both because they are a good action movie and I wanted to see them in BD lol.

I have 6 or 7. I think 5 were free when we got the player. We still buy DVDs, for me with upconverting, blu-ray is not worth the premium over the $5 to $10 we now pay for DVDs.

I'll be at 92 titles come Wednesday when Toy Story 1&2 and Red Cliff arrive (though technically, it's actually over 100 because 3 of those are The Bourne Trilogy, The Matrix Trilogy, and Harry Potter 1-5). And I swore I wouldn't go crazy buying them. :P

I've only got 32 right now but that is only from a few months of owning a player. I've got about a 100+ DVD's so I'll be working on getting my blue rays up a bit. I really can't stand buying anything on DVD anymore as I just feel the picture is so inferior lol

I've only had my Oppo since August. Blu-ray.com's price tracking has been murder on my wallet! In fact, I just got Planet Terror, Zack And Miri Make A Porno, and X-Men 1 & 2 for $45 because of it. The week before - Clerks 2, Dogma, Vertical Limit, and Death Proof for $40. Love catching Amazon's BD $10 offers on some of the movies I dig.

Come on Jeff, what is it? I only own 3 - Commando, Star Trek and Inglorious ****. I netflix the rest. Can't wait for Lord of the Rings to drop on Blu though. I watch The Fellowship on DVD last night and even with the PS3 and the HK upconvert it was dissapointing. HD all the way . .

Not get off topic but have any of you been following the LOTR thread over at AVS , alot of those guys are literally pitching a fit over the transfer that LOTR got, lots of talk about DNR and other filtering and noise reduction. I really don't have an eye for those things so I'll still be getting my copies.

LOL, I will be adding a few more tomorrow when the new releases come out. My wife has gotten on board as of late, and with our only local movie rental place getting shut down recently I have resorted to buying a lot more. Star Trek is one I don't have though and would really like to add to my collection.
