Eh... Crystal doesn't do it for me anymore. Her "thing" was refreshing at first, but it's starting to get old to me, personally. I think it's a matter of that style just not being appealing to me. She's got talent, for sure, but i'd rather listen to Lee, even if he does still have a little growing to do.

With Crystal, i feel like she's already at her peak. I think Lee could be something special. But yes, i agree... last night was not his best performance. But Crystal didn't blow me away either.

The 14 year old girl vote will put Lee through.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I couldn't have said it better myself. You, me and my wife are in perfect agreement.

The show has lost its mojo. Time to kill it and invent a new one.

As a side note, I'm pretty much done with the format and don't think I will be watching next season.

I enjoyed the show. No surprise in the results.

Man, what a shock when I saw Joe Cocker.....

Bob got to see his screamer one last time... :p

still an hour to go in my time zone. No spoiler, even though I can see who's the winner.

Hall and Oates, how cool is that?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

America got it right and the skeletons they marched out of the closet are many of the bands I enjoyed live in concert at Blossom Music Center, The Cleveland Agora and Richfield Coliseum back in the day.

    It's the Joe Cocker Shocker!!!!:eek::D
I gave it 6 fingers up.

As for the final 2, I thought they both sucked...terribly. I was fiddling with my AVR, and had the L/R speakers off, but the center channel still playing. The voices were more isolated, and you could hear just how bad these hacks really are. Definitely an ear-opener. If you have the show DVR'd, watch it with the L/R turned down/off and you'll see what I mean. (especially during Janet Jackson's um...performance)

To be fair, I didn't like Lee's voice when he sang on the Bears pre-game show, so I like him even less now that he's been "coached".......:D

Anyone else surprised that Casey and (don't hurt me) Tim sounded better than any of the other contestants last night?

Andrew sounded terrible. The screamer sounded terrible. Big Mike sounded bad.

Katie sounded EXACTLY like Christina Aguliera or however you spell it.

Alanis Morrisette sounded GREAT. Janet Jackson sounded terrible. Alice Cooper sounded surprisingly good. (Isn't he 92 or something) Kris Allen sucks. Carrie Underwood actually sounded decent.

It was good to see so many 80s artists last night. Worth the price of admission just for that. As far as AI, it's over.

I kept waiting for Paula to say something of significance in her speach to Simon. Still waiting........She seemed sober but still made little sense. I'm glad Crystal did not win. She's the bigger talent but this way she has a lot more freedom to make the kind of record that she wants, instead of the crappy pop garbage almost all Idol winners are forced to make. The highlight for me was "Pants On The Ground".

. . . Carrie Underwood actually sounded decent.

Sorry if I sound shallow, but she is hot! (and her backup singer looked equally good).
