I havn't watched every season (missed the first two or three) but this one is just different! Since Paula left I feel it has a less professional (if I can say that )feel in its production flow.I also think that girl with the poor upbringing that didn't make it should be here.

Alot of TV shows don't make it past 7 seasons but this production this year is depressing. The judges are rolling criticism one after the other this week. only one guy didn't receive harsh treatment and that was the one Kara likes.

Oh well, I see this show ending after this yr. or next.:(

They let the wrong guys go... go figure. And what kind of show brings it down to the Jim Morrison wanna-be and one of the best singers there, period? (That 19 year old with the insanely thick voice, he sounds GREAT, even if he is nervous as hell.)

    Ugh.

Most of the guys were pretty terrible.

Wow. Nobody's even posting about AI anymore. That speaks pretty loudly of what people think of AI. I'm still watching, though yawning a lot as well.

I'm shocked that Tim Urban & Katie are still around & Todrick & Lilly are gone. Wow.

I'm not real shocked that Tim Urban is still there anymore. He's improved HUGELY. This week's performance put him up near the top, in my opinion at least.

I AM shocked that Katie is still in it, though.

I am also shocked that Lilly is gone. She was the best of the girls in my opinion. She just wasn't mainstream enough i guess. I predict we'll see more of her in the future.

Todrick, i'm not surprised. He wasn't consistent, and he alway seemed out of tune and "over done" to me.

The biggest surprise and beef of mine is that Alex Lambert is gone. To me, hands down, he was the best person there by a rather wide margin, from a vocal standpoint. I think he got screwed simply because he's not the showman some of the others may be. He had the best voice, he was consistent, and had a great ear for pitch.

Very disappointed. Americans voted the two best people off. Go figure.

My money is on Big Mike. Even if there is no Kara's drama, I still think his voice is great.

Andrew Garcia was struggling to re-create the Straight Up magic. sad.

yeah its a shame that Lilly went home... how katie made it by and not her is crazy. I think the biggest reason that Tim Urban is still there is b/c of the Tween vote,he's got that HS musical look to him.. .. and while he has improved.. his version of hallelujah was nowhere near as good as Jason Castros a while back.

    The finalists ?

For the men, it'll be Big Mike.

For the women, it'll be the gal that looks kind of like Janis Joplin ..... sorta ... can't remember her name.

    Two words...

    CRYSTAL BOWERSOX.

I picked her, Kaitlyn Epperly (Went home this week), and Anthony Garcia from the beginning.

At least one is looking good.

Yeah the hippie chick with the guitar has the goods - for real. Authentic and honest sound. I like Garcia too but he wasn't good in his last effort.

I also turn around while on the PC as wife is watching. I hear something good and we go from TV speakers to two channel in 6 seconds ; )

Crystal Bowersox is the one to beat in my opinion. I also like the girl Didi Bonami who did a great job with a Fleetwood Mac song.

I was sorry to see Alex Lambert and Lily go yesterday. They both have really unique voices. Alex didn't have the confidence but Lily was really good.

I can do that too.We love it. Changes the whole vibe. We've been doing TV in surround for years when there's a call for it. That first week after Hollywood I didn't turn the system on at all. Since then, we've turned it on and listen to most performances and then the tv for comments. My wife mutes Ellen for me or at least turns her voice way down.

Haha, I'm not a huge fan of the screaming either but when she's not doing that I think she has a great voice.

I prefer Crystal personally but still, nice to see someone original up there too.

Worst season ever IMO. Granted I missed the first three or four years but still. As for this year, crystal or Siobhan will take it. Don't really like either but who do I like now? No one. Didi was my fav and she went home a few weeks ago. Legs see how tomorrow goes as they will send two home this week.

Laugh all you want. I think Urban is going to take it. Just calling it now.

I haven't once found him truly terrible this entire season, he's got great pitch, decent tone. The only real complaints anyone has really had with him, including me, is song and arrangement choice. He's got the 14 year old girl vote for sure, too.

But i agree, this season sucks. The two best people already left. Lilly and Alex Lambert.

If Tim Urban wins, I state now that I will give up being a musician and work at Rita's Water Ice the rest of my life! You're right...he has a decent tone (at best), his pitch is okay, but he is just overmatched when it comes to performing. He looks like a kid singing with experienced adults. I see the fear in his eyes :)

I agree to a point. I think he's got the most room to grow, though.

Lee frustrates me. Great tone for what he's doing, good performer, but good god his pitch is horrendous.

Mike doesn't do it for me.

Garcia will make it in life, but i don't think he's what the competition is looking for.

Crystal, meh. Not my thing. Good though.

Siobhaun. Screamer. Too strange for mainstream america.

Casey, wrong kindof idol. He needs to be frontman for an alternative rockband.

Tim Urban!!! I'm w/Pycroft on this one.

Seems like a nice chap but IMHO, he'll NEVER make it as a singer. I can see him playing the lead in a hs musical but not much beyond that. Maybe some off Broadway stuff. But a true singer? C'mon!
