For the PA, NJ, DE area-From ABC:
PREDICTED SNOWFALL: Once again, many areas are looking at significant snowfall amounts. But, unlike this past weekend's storm, the band of heaviest snow will likely set up along I-95 and areas to the north, where 18-24" of snow is expected to accumulate. Outlying suburbs, including Reading and teh Lehigh Valley, will accumulate 12-18". In areas close to the Shore, you may only get about 3-6", due to the rain that falls early in the storm period. The snow that falls will be heavy and, with high winds expected Wednesday, we expect widespread power outages.

That last sentence...I know it going to happen because I didn't buy the generator when I had my mits on it....

The snow started right on time, and they said its not expected to move out of this area until almost 11:30p Wed night. It will be the "snowiest" season on record in Phila if we get at least 9.2"

I am just under the "P" in Philadelphia.
    attachment.php?attachmentid=46487&stc=1&d=1265781100

Nadams, I'm not sure exatly where you are, but it's looking like you might be in the 6-12" area if the white band is right.

All the area schools are closed and I'm not going into work tomorrow anyway. My kids are looking forward to building tunnels and igloos and such and so am I :). I already put one of those play tunnels out in the front yard to give them a head start--I hope it doesn't collapse overnight.

Ya know I was actually a bit shocked when I went to Home Depot on Monday night to refresh my salt supply, and 1.) there was barely a soul in the store, and 2.)they must have had at least 4 full skids of salt ready to go. Its about time a retailer is stocking up to meet demand so that they can actually sell product.

My mother had to go out in this for work. We told her to take the day off. On top of that my stupid sister thought she would be smart and act like she could not get home last night so she was going to go spend the night at a friends house. After her saying she had gotten stuck in her driveway my mother comely said "if you are getting stuck right now why in your right mind would you wait until tomorrow to come home, when the raods will be 10 times worse." She came home last night (^_^)

I think we're going to lose the roof over our back porch. We weren't able to get back from skiing 'til Monday night, then back to work Tuesday at 6:30 AM, thus no time to clean snow off of the roof. We tried to dig out from the upper windows, but too little too late; the roof's already two courses of bricks lower in the middle then the perimeter.

Looks like I have a project for better weather.

That's an understatement Scott. It looks like there is no air outside here in Newark, it's all white. We're getting our butts kicked. I hope the electric holds up. You can't even see the power lines and my silver oak looks like it wants to drop a few big branches on my house.

My next door neighbor cut his oak down Monday.:eek::eek:

Lastest on road closures from PennDOT:
DUE TO BLIZZARD CONDITIONS, THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF INTERSTATES 76 (SCHUYLKILL EXPRESSWAY), 78, 83, 176, 476, 676 and PA 581 HAVE BEEN CLOSED. IN ADDITION, INTERSTATE 81 IS CLOSED FROM THE MARYLAND STATE LINE TO INTERSTATE 80. MOTORISTS SHOULD AVOID ALL TRAVEL.
I'm not familiar with all those roads, but closing the entire lengths of 76 and 476 are significant closures. the PA Turnpike and I95 are still open. Not that anybody should be out in this anyway...

I was just about to bundle up and get a start on clearing the driveway, but after looking out the window just now, I honestly can't see any reason why I should even bother at this point. I think I'll just go and shovel off the deck though--last thing I want is the deck ripping off the back of my house
