Those definately look like fedex numbers, but they also show on the usps site, not as 'invalid', but as 'no tracking purchased for this item'.

Same amount of digits at least.

I hope to hear a solution to this soon, try to stay calm, if thats possible.

    Cheers,

FedEx told us that they are valid numbers, but we also found out that you can get these numbers without ever sending anything. They are created in batch quanties. The bad thing is they do not track when these numbers are issued.
We will sit tight until Tuesday of next week. I've already called the authorities to find out what my next step will be. There are some local and federal agencies that will take action if I file a report. I'm hoping in my heart that this is a mistake and the speakers will arrive in the near future, and that will not be necessary.

    Dave

    P.S.
I want to say that there are some great people on this sight, Hoosier21 (Russ) is a stand up guy and makes me still have confidence that things will work out.

I have a fed ex account, and soon i will get a starter kit for my new account, You get forms with tracking numbers so when you ship something, it's all ready to go, and you just drop it off or they pick it up, having tracking numbers means really that they possibly have an account or know someone who does and thus has forms with tracking numbers included. I hope for the best, but it is very hard to prosicute in a situation like this. with just e-mails and word of mouth proof, it's good though if you sent a personal check so you can have proof he cashed the check. and as long as you wrote in the subject line, iE: for lsi speakers paid in full or something like that.. Just a few more hints to help out..

    Good luck!!

Guys there is no need for all this.

They wanted me to ship the speakers before their check even cleared, so I was nice and did so. I even shipped Fed Ex over UPS because ironically they claimed to be faster and I wanted to try my hardest to get the speakers out quickly.
I also responded to every email I got from them IMMEDIATELY and even told them when I would be home so they wouldn't worry that I bailed on them.

I tried explaining over and over again that Fed Ex said they might experience some slight delays because of the busy holiday weekend. I told them that for some reason Fed Ex had a delay in processing the order so the tracking # might not be registered yet. I even went into Fed Ex in person the other day to complain about the delay. I've done everything I can.

I understand the concern but at the same time it's a little unfair for me to be treated like a thief after a small delay. Dave your a really cool guy and I promise with every bit of honesty I have, you will get your speakers exactly as described. Please keep this updated because I don't want my selling rep tarnished because of a Fed Ex error.

Sorry for the delay, but it's not my fault.

Don't take it personal. Heck, I just read the whole thing and was wondering. It went from a sweet deal, to a deal to sweet to be true, back to the original sweet deal within a matter of minutes for me.
Unfortunately a good reason can sometimes come across as a poor excuse.

I'm very glad to hear this is going okay.

See, a stand up guy after all, we have to make sure we don't wangotango every insider deal we see here folks. You have to work with your seller, wether its Ebay or not, you take a risk. Be patient and communicate.

It looks like it will all work oout after all.

Buyer gets all the credit in the world, theres no question of that. You spend $1000 on something over the internet, shouldnt you cover all your bases in the first place? Perhaps they should have gotten a little more personal in the pre-dealing, before money was exchanged.

Guys, Guys..I think everyone needs to chill out right now on this one. eulogyt00l is here... Janusch is here...Neither is running. Right now I will bet my rig this thing turns out fine. Communication breakdown..YES! My short time on this forum leads me to believe both these people had nothing but good intentions on this deal. Perhaps Janusch had reason to worry but damn eulogyt00l seems to be a real deal. My .02 worth

    Final Update:

The speakers arrived today. - Very badly damaged. -

    Chronological information:

May 12 2003 - the deal was made - upon receipt of check
    speakers will be sent

May 16 2003 - recieved check - but waited to wait until it clear -
asked for the speakers to be sent -

May 17 2003 - agreed to send the speakers today.

May 19 2003 - was informed the speakers were sent today -

May 22 2003 - thought I should of recieved them by now -

May 27 2003 - emailed me asking for zip code - re-sent him the
    zip code -

May 28 2003 - recieved tracking numbers - could not locate
    them inside of Fed Ex

May 29 2003 - the tracking indicated that they were scanned
    between 5 and 6 today.

June 3 2003 - speakers arrived in u-haul shipping boxes with
only bubble wrap and plastic wrapped around
    them. They were damaged also.

Since it was stated that they were still in the original boxes and only one was open, just to take the picture. What happen to the original boxes? I still have a hard time with them being sent out on the 19. They did come with the warrenty cards. This has not been a very easy purchase.

I (my husband) have done other purchase after this one from this site - So far they have turned out very well.

No insurance. I goofed that, I just assumed if he was paying for shipping that the insurance would also be included. Wrong Assumption. I will take pictures of the speakers and post them, as a warning to others.

I have talked to the regional manager, and while I think they have some responsablity in this. The bottom line is that these speakers were not insured and the most I will be able to recover from them is $100 per speaker.
But to be honest concidering how they were shipped they may have a strong case it was our fault. Basicly he had sent them in some u-haul boxes labeled golf culbs, plant stand, and lamps. He had no extra padding inside the box. Just a once around bubble wrap. So the speakers had plenty of extra room to slip around during transport.

The question still remains, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORIGINAL BOXES"? Why would he have taken them out and put them into the U-Haul boxes? I call BS!!
I don't think you share ANY of the resposibility.

Having those LSi15 bubble wrapped without the original boxes is almost guarantee will trash them. When I got mine, it came in a crate and boxed with its original boxes. I am not implying that it will necessarily be the case here, what I was just dumbfounded if the bubble wrap is the only cushion holding these heavy speakers in its non-original boxes. Good luck with getting it resolved! and hope you get what you paid for....

Franks right. You only have heard from me, and to be honest I have not tried to contact him yet to see if he will resolve this. I've been a bit discussed to think to straight, but I will do this. I still will post the pictures if that is alright and update you guys on any change in the situation.
I have plugged in the speaker and at lest they work. So worst to worst I still have a great sounding LSI speaker.
