I'm sorry, I speak English, and have no idea what "to be hatred" is supposed to mean. It doesn't shine a good light on you to be belittling other people's occupation.- Jeremy

Then go back to wherever you came from. And take Zitro with you. You'd make a great couple.
That said, Favre did what he usually does: choke. Is he a great quarterback? Yeah. Is he tough? Yeah. Does he choke more than a bulimic hollywood wanna-be starlet? You Betcha. Just look at the last playoff game he was in a couple years back for the most recent escapade.
I think Favre is latin for interception -

I am not ****. Thanks for the offer. -
Child? What's up with the continuous youth comments? You think you're better than me because you are older? Or are you one of those old guys who hates the youth because you're jealous of it? It must be something, because quite frankly, being young has little to do with this conversation and there is no need to continuously attempt to use it in a belittling way. And trust me, I am far from a child; I've gone through a lot to get to where I stand today and I am very proud of it.
Anyways, he did NOT have anywhere near 15 yards to run, not on a bad foot at 40 years old. And ok, so they were at his CAREER LONG. Yup, that sounds like the "easy" field goal you're talking about. I'd do what I can to make it an easier kick if I had the chance, too. Hindsight is 20/20; you wouldn't be bashing the decision if Rice had caught it. You are just like everyone else.
There is no hero that everyone likes, that much is obvious. And I don't need you to like him; I don't care what your opinion on anything is, it's inconsequential. He has accomplished much more than most NFL players have and is a guaranteed first ballot Hall Of Famer. Like I said, the record books, and his legacy, will speak for themselves.
The more you focus on all of the jabs I'm throwing your way over a freakin' game the more obvious it is you know you have no argument. Favre threw a stupid pass despite having an obvious option (one he even admitted).
Vikings Lose.
Favre Loses.
Your last comments are hilarious. I know he's a great QB with many flaws. Something I have known for a long time, junior. The things I don't like about Favre have very little to do with football. Although when he played for my team it was boneheaded throws like the one he made tonight which helped give the game away that I hated.
All I can say is that I'm glad it's not my team anymore. We have a bright future ahead of us and any team that has Favre is just clinging to a guy who hasn't been able to seal the deal since 1996.
Deal with it. -

That just about sums it up.
Great QB. Flawed. Hasn't been able to get it done since 1996.
I'm glad he's another teams problem now. -

I'm very grateful of all the advice and help people here have given me on this forum, and one day I hope to give it back. A lot of the things I've learned and/or received i couldn't have without CP's help, and for that I thank everyone. What I don't want is to be criticized for receiving this help. I don't appreciate you making it seem like I am here simply to get "free ****", like I joined the forums knowing I'd get things lol. I am here to learn just like everyone else, and I am lucky and thankful that people have helped me out with my audio passion. Grow up.- Jeremy

Brett did play a good game, the Viks played a good game. Can't take that away from them. They beat the Saints on damn near every stat....except turnovers, the most important stat. They had the game won, even with that last penalty, facing a 56 yard FG with a veteran kicker, the right call was to get a little closer. The wrong call was to try and force something out of nothing instead of throwing it away. That is vintage Brett.
I was not happy with the offense of The Saints, Drew should have thrown the ball more in my opinion, thats his strong point. Like Payton, when he gets into a grove, they are hard to beat. Viks did a good job covering down field, the Saints did a good job Knocking around Brett the whole game. I thought it was a great game.HT SYSTEM-

I am delighted that the Saints are finally making it to the SuperBowl. They really deserve it after what that team and city have been through !:) I hope they crush the Colts!!:p

Hmmm...6 fumbles, 2 interceptions, 3 fumbles lost to turnovers for 5 total. Vikings gain 475+ yards in total offense and Favre goes 28 for 46 with a singular touchdown and they still lose the game? That's not good playing to me. That's pretty bad playing. BTW, 3 of the 5 turnovers, Brett was responsible for. He had the worst game of any Viking yesterday. That kinda says something in a way about how well the rest of the Vikings played.
The Saints looked sloppy but they didn't make mistakes when it counted. They had penalties and such like the Vikings but they only lost one fumble and Brees threw no interceptions. The Saints deserved to win the game. No matter how you think Favre played, what refs you think were blind or bought off or whatever. The Saints just played better football yesterday and they duked it out with the Vikings to the very end. In the end, the winning field goal was a direct result of a Favre mistake and stupid penalties by the Vikings.
It's like they say, any given Sunday...
Maybe the Vikings are the better team? But if you want to be a championship team, "maybe" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. You have to be the better team EVERY Sunday, not just some of them. The Saints came out and were the better team yesterday and that's all that counts. That scenario played out the entire season. Some teams had other teams numbers and there was no changing it. Saints had the Vikings number...it was 4 and they hassled him all night long and it made the difference.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
I feel bad for the Vikings given the way they lost. To blame the loss on Favre is just idiotic. They were NOT in reasonable field goal range, the guy can barely move around so him running for any kind of gain is probably not an option. Sure you'd like him to not throw the interception, but what are your options really:
1 - Try to complete a pass, that's what he did and it got picked off.
2 - Throw the ball out of bounds - you're still out of field goal range, realistically.
3 - Run with the ball, well you really needed about 10 yards to have a decent shot at a field goal, I'm gonna say he would not have been able to pick up the 10 yards, although admittedly that's debatable.
Ya, the interception was bad, but really the best option out of the 3 given the play called is to try to complete the pass. Also, if Rice doesn't sit on that route then that's actually a completed pass - people are bitching more about the outcomee than the play, if Rice doesn't sit on the route and he completes that pass then we're not talking about the 'bad' play.
By the way, that whole sequence started with the 12 man penalty, so really everyone should be pissed at the fullback, because without that penalty they run the ball and the chance for the bad play doesn't exist.
For the record, I've never liked Brett Favre. People that know me and my track record of comments here all support that. I've never liked his 'gunslinger' style of play, I've always preferred a more precise or calculating passer like Steve Young or Peyton Manning vs some guy who just runs around chunking the ball downfield hoping one of his guys happens to be the one to come down with it.
Having said that, he's one tough dude. He got knocked around quite a bit yesterday and kept coming back. I actually found myself rooting for the Vikings just because how do you not root for that? I'm still not a Favre fan, but it's hard to not root for a 40 year old guy like that who's taking a beating and keeps playing. -

They DESERVE to win a football game because of a natural disaster????
They deserve to win if they have the best team and play the best game on super bowl Sunday...NO MORE...NO LESS.

Favre is one of the greatest qb's of all time; no question. The problem with him is that his ego will never allow for someone else to have the spotlight. Say what you want, but he could have run for 5 yards and the Vikings would have had a manageable attempt at a fg. He ignored Quarterback Basics 101- never throw on the run, across your body, across the field. It was a lapse in judgement that has resurfaced time and time again in his career. I liked him before; I respect what he does for the game - I just think seeing him over the course of his career and how the last few years have gone that he is an arrogant guy that cares more for himself than anything else.Shawn

I guess next season Haiti will have a team and then they will deserve to win.
It was a great football game and I was pulling for the Vikes because I do respect Favre as an athlete. I am a Bears fan and the rivalry between the Pack and the Bears was always there, but I still respect what Favre has accomplished.

As a Falcons fan, I am physically ill today. Words can do no justice to how much I hate the Saints.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Agreed. Except for the Falcons fan part.
Oh well, i think yesterday's games just cemented the Colts' win at the Super Bowl.
I feel we would have had a harder time against the Vikings than the Saints.
I'm calling a 3 touchdown lead at the end of the game by the Colts.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
