That was a pretty cool document. It was like a history lesson on Polks "coming of age"....

I saw speakers in there I have heard about but never seen...

Really awesome document you have! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, didn't see the request sooner. It should be in the "wanted" section, you're correct.

Well, he was actually gathering all these brochures to scan and make them available to the board. Pretty nice contribution if you ask me, and yeah, I'm a little dorokusai biased, he gives and gives and gives.

No, it was a bit more than that but we'll handle that in the behind the scenes since the responses were deleted.

I did find a pretty rare ad yesterday with another 15 or so from the same guy. The pile is getting bigger. I have to find more original manuals for all the series but so far it's about 200 pages...maybe more.

I plan on burning it all on a CD(s) and offering it for FREE to any contributing Polkie.....that was always the point. Even Christophermuto contributed a very nice, many page spread that will be included.

Unless you're on my do not like you list, and vice versa, then you'll have to get it burned from someone else. I'm very petty and childlike.

    I have no idea.

Anyways, just made a deal with a Polkie lurker....you know who you are  to trade some tweeters for a bunch of vintage magazine ads that I don't have yet. Sweet!

Mark, that eight-page, full-color 1982-ish Monitor Series brochure, and a black-and-white 7B Owner's Manual from the same era, are on their way to you.

Well I'm up to 150 hardcopy documents, reviews, ads and other tangible pieces of paper. I have another 200 on CD.

I just picked up about 8 new ones off eBay from a seller named Tomahawk and they're in oustanding condition.

Again, if you guys have anything relating to Polk speakers as far as documents, even old owners manuals...please let me know as I'd like to buy them, trade them or will accept donations to the effort.

I'm really looking for strange ads, old old ads, reviews and anything that looks cool. Before you read further, I'm not running copies of this stuff for anyone right now, so make a mental note and contact me down the road. If you have something to trade, then that's different. Let me look around and see what I can find on Tuesday. I was hoping that I could find my old Monitor 5jr manual, but that could be still at my Mom's house given I got them in high school back in the late eighties. I will pm you for an address then.

    Shirt size is large.

    Mark,

I think I have a couple owners manuals lying around. A Monitor Series and an SDA SRS. If you don't have them, and I can find them, they're yours.

Nwohlford - Neil, thanks very much for the offer, I'll definitly take them.

Darrick, thanks very much for the Model 5 Brochure! It's a great addition to the folder.

The FREE CD of The Polk Literature Project will be given only to the folks that contribute to the overall effort because they bought some to donate. That's fair I think and those individual efforts are greatly appreciated.

I'm also willing to buy old Polk Audio brochures, just let me know what you have and how much. Thanks!
