    I was really looking forward to watching this game. I'm not a fan of either one but it was looking to be a really good game and now umm yea not so much. Oh well at least there is beer in the fridge!

    An Oklahoma fan I am. Rooted for Longhorns though. With Colt out of the game, the defense as well seemed to lose their edge. The back up QB for Colt is not in the state of mind to play this game. It would have been huge if the pass into the end zone when he first took over was completed and not went through the hands of his receiver. Anyhow, downhill from there. I do not give props to the SEC, over rated. I do give props to Mr. Saban though.

    The reason why Texas did so poorly is because they got bad karma ... from me!

    Some dude in a black Escalade, with all the bling on it and Texas plates, pulled right in front of me and cut me off today in Pasadena before a light, with no turn signal in sight (which at least helps, IMO). I was in the right turn lane, he was not. This was just blocks away from where the game was to be held, but hours before it was due to start. I remained calm, didn't honk him or anything, but I did think that this was no way to treat a venerable old 1994 Chevy Silverado like mine, with 200K on the clock.

    Sure enough, as he turned right at the light, having forced me to stand on the brakes to let him in, I could see enough through his black windows to notice that the reason there was no turn signal and an obvious lack of attention to where he was going was because he was holding his phone to his ear. Get bluetooth already, if you're going to drive like that! Oh, and by the way, it's illegal to use a phone without hands free in California.

    So that's where the bad karma came from. I apologize to any Texas Polkies that have had to endure the result of my bad karma.
