    1) Paint the living and dining area and install some acoustic panels at the 1st reflection points

    2) Upgrade the pre to a unit with at least (2) balanced outputs, (1) RCA output and at least (1) balanced input. Right now I have in mind a Bel Canto Pre2 on the low end or a Gamut or Acustic Arts on the high end.

    3) Upgrade all my power cables to some Signal Cables.

Nice car! Any reason you picked the CLS550 over say, a 750i?

Actually I was comparing the two, and I think I like the CLS a little better. The BMW is a nice car as well. Just a tough decision and besides you don't see them too much out here. As for reliability I don't know which is better, so I'm still doing the homework in that dept.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

I like this part........and hoping you do a kicka$$ theater with JVC projector on deck. To me picture is just as important as sound, so treat all equal if you know what I mean.

As for my own personal upgrades I'm going to upgrade my fronts. I'm thinking Tyler Acoustics or Salk. I looked and auditioned B&W 802Ds/HTMD (center), and overall I did like the sound, but for a price tag of 20k, I thought; NOT!!!. So I'm working with Ty and Jim to give me some best deal quotes and hope to come up with something soon.

Aside from audio I'm also planning a new ride: Mercedes Benz CLS550. Overall I'm happy with what I have and may just heh, screw it I'm good. Definitely buying the car though.

The Projector I keep my eye on them. The new Anthem is very nice and much like the JVC. THe Pioneer ELite I loved picture wise but the manual adjustment sucked not to mention no trigger. We also carry Mitsubishi which for the money make a hell of a projector. Sony is always in the wings as well.

Audio I'm kicking around Ideas. Triad is very high on my list as for theater they are extremely hard to beat price to performance ratio and flat out one of the very best sounding theater speakers I have heard. I also like Klipsch Reference THX Ultra system. Dynamics for days and clarity is phenomenal.

Nice choice in cars. I like German myself. I'm a BMW guy.

    I have 2:

1.) Upgrade the xovers and tweets in my SRS2's

2.) Find a warm sounding 200 wpc amp to power them.

    Not necessarily in that order.

Get the amp last, after the other two items, you may not "need" a warm sounding amp anymore.

    4. Acquire a set of 2Bs and or 1Cs.

Nothing fancy....I'm going to switch out my AVRs (Denon upstairs...Onkyo 805 downstairs) and probably upgrade my SDA tweeters from SL2000s to RDO-194s.

But the most important thing is to get home and actually get to hear my gear again. Oh, and use the Adcom to run the SDAs instead of an old Kenwood integrated amp.

Get my living room done, new drywall and hide all cables and such behind the wall for a much cleaner and neat looking install....pics will be posted as soon as that project starts. Happy New Year everyone may 2010 be the best that it can be.

I'd like to redo my m10's crossovers and add some rdo194's, but realistically I'll be happy with a networking bluray player.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Basically but the Pioneer and Anthem are slightly different. There are like 3 model JVC projectors. I have yet to Install an Actual JVC. The Pioneer Pic quality was the best I have seen under 12k. Amazing projector. I'm waiting for the Anthem Projectors to hit our store. Then I can check that out.

You have a JVC correct? Which model? Does yours have a 12v trigger? and electronic Lens shift? That sucked on the Pioneer I hated manual Shift. But the Picture quality made up it.

Yes JVC RS10, I think has trigger, never used it. Also motorized zoom, lens shift. I never use the trigger due to just bouncing the IR commands off the white screen to PJ. Never an issue so far.

As for Pioneer and Anthem, zero differences at all. The Pioneer was JVC's RS2, the Anthems are JVC's RS10/20 respectively. Slightly different trim level, specs remain the same.

My New Years audio resolution is to not spend any money on my system. Not a dime. I came close last year... I think I just bought some cables. I forget if I had my gfa-545 for the whole year or not.

Anyway, this ties into my big New Years resolution... to save as much money as possible... watch my spending like a hawk, and cut out any un-needed spending wherever possible. The goal is to get my CC's paid down and have enough to put a roof on the house this spring/summer.
    Ludicrous gibs!
