For those that are poo-pooing the fact that Sears and K-Mart are selling separates, you are looking at it all wrong.
I didn't say anything bad about Adcom i was just remarking at the fact that they are available from your local "department" store, with the way that the US economy is i don't blame them as just like everyone else they have kid's to feed. YOU are looking at it all wrongPolkativa

You wouldn't be asked to leave, it's a very relaxed & open forum with very little bias (even though it is a "company" forum) Just don't use the "emoblows" screen name againI think it's pretty great that Adcom, has found other outlets to sell their gear. without stores, they lose a huge market share. Those amps for sale at Kmart & Sears are current offerings not 20 year old products so what is your point?
More & more boutique music stores are going out of busines or are simply inaccessible. So putting their gear where people can see it, and go home with it can only be a good thing.
This time you are simply trying to cause trouble where none exists Still. KNOCK IT OFF!
Please see my response to F1nut and do not try to extract thing's from my post's that do not exist.

I would rather have a 20 yo Adcom than a new EMO. Half the price and sounds better. I am not a big fan of newer Adcom's.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Well nooshinjohn, let's go over the numberous, articulate and substansive contributions you have posted to this thread.nooshinjohn wrote: »...Grabs popcorn and waits for the pissing match to unfold.
I'm with you bro, but you will most likely be shunned and then banned. Perhaps you could go by the name sLOwPolKy over there... j/k
It is also likely that they already own the gear and come over here every time someone has an amp question to push their agenda.

Wow! Almost prophetic despite the fact that nothing you have said pertains to the topic of the thread "emotiva vs adcom".

What I dislike are the Emoettes always looking for every single opportunity to start crap... Personally, I have nothing against Emo if that is what you choose to listen to, and nothing against Adcom either for that matter. Every single thread about Emo turns into the same BS every single time the name comes up because the Emoettes all show up like ACORN volunteers registering dead people and illegal imigrants to vote. There is an agenda afoot to attack anyone that believes in something better than Emo and I for one am quite tired of it. I think everybody except the Emoettes feel the same.
Merry Christmas!
p.S.... I actually considered buying the monoblock Emo's to power my mains, but because of the Emoettes, I decided against them. I have absolutely nothing against Adcom, i think they are a great product and provided the same product to the audio industry 20yrs ago as Emotiva is doing today.
Gee i wonder why every thread with a hint of Emotiva get's washed down the drain? Maybe it's because of all the "hater's"? The only agenda i see here is the one being perpetrated by the "anti Emo" clan.

TBH I have only seen people posting that for the money they are really quite happy and that the overall quality of the product is quite good if not great, especially considering the price. Of course they do have their issues here and there but all product's in the market place are prone to issues, it's a fact of "life". The 5802 is leaps and bounds better than anything Emo has put out or will ever put out. Yes, it is discontinued but it had a long product lifecycle run of about 10 years. Pick a used one up without hesitation. They probably stopped producing them a few years ago.

hmmm dude every time I read a thread about Emotiva you always pop in and have to defend it or say something and its like you vs. them and its frankly so freakin' annoying. You are starting **** because of your lack of respect of others that you just showed in your thread, such as your comment to Ben, who umm I would say has more experience than you, and I frankly would trust more in the audio world then you.
holy freakin' crap. I own freakin' Emo and have to say that with how people have to sit and proclaim how freakin' wondering and profound they are, are making me annoyed with even owning the stuff. I have never been criticized yet for owning the stuff, but then again I don't defend it and say there are other options for people, and its the one sided arguments that you constantly do that get old, and are seen as intrusive to others. For example this whole post you did, you talk about one amp and say how wonderful they are but then criticize adcom for being sold at a Kmart, get over yourself, learn there are other opinion and try for once to add to a conversation rather than attack or have to defend "your" product.
The stuff is alright but there is a lot of other stuff for the same amount of money that new emo stuff cost that you can buy that will sound just as good or not better to the listener. I for one did like my amps when I got them but still find that they tend to lack detail in certain areas and are tended to be overhyped. I personally now that I have heard them would rather go with something used by the likes of adcom or parasound, but I listened and found out and made the choice for myself.
Right now I'm using the stuff and until I get some other things squared away with my set up they will be switched out. -

You are no longer welcome in their club. I suggest you leave the Emotiva forums before they ban you for blasphemy.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Me?--I spent an afternoon with my quickiesilver;) M-80's and a pair of LSI 15's,, and they were spectacular,,now they were modded as in upgraded caps(LSI's),,,prior to that I had listened to them with Odyssey Stratos Stereo,,Mono's,,and the Quicksilvers walked all over them,,SO,, with that said,,I'd look for a pair of Quicksilver Mid Mono's,,EL-34 output tubes,,or some Manley Snappers,,,or maybe a VTL ST-85,,I'm also thinking that the Manley Stingray might fit the bill as well.I've never owned any LSI 9's,, but I'm thinking that 50 tube watts may do it,,alot folks swear by the dynaco St-70's.Someone here has a CJ thats been modded that looks quite nice too. He,he,, so much for the short, straight to the point answer,,eh?:)

You've got it wrong. I'm not looking for any "war", but I'll be damned if personal attacks upon me or anyone else in these forums go unanswered. As I pointed out earlier, John has added NOTHING to this particular thread and instead, has used it for his personal anti-emotiva and anti-peoplewhodisagreewithme agenda.
