Maybe I should replace my source first but I think I just want to get the IC's out of the way having already experiencing the difference they create. I'm sure a good player will as well but I just don't know if it'll be as big of a difference or not so I think I'll grab some S3's before anything else :D

A great source is always the best place to start. Also what if the synergy of the ICs don't jive with a new source then what? Crappy source = crap in, crap out.

After plenty of hours on them (not enough though to be fully broken in) these things are really opening up.

Who knew such small bookshelves can sound so big?!
Those were my initial impressions but they just seem to grow the more playtime I give them. The tweeters are really opening up with detail whereas things sounded a bit congested. The soundstage is amazing with these things, and I don't have to worry much about a sweetspot as I did with the Magnepans. Imaging isn't up to par but it's pretty damn good and I've got full detailed sound throughout the frequency range paired with the MicroPro. It's a match made in heaven and I'm loving it!

Tonight I should be picking up some stands and my telefunken 12ax7 tubes should be coming in soon. I'll post anymore further thoughts later :)

Right now I'm looking at Pioneer's bluray players. I've personally heard one myself and was surprised as how well it sounded as a dedicated cdp. Two birds with one stone imo.

    Got my stands!

They were only $20 bucks and are in near-mint shape excluding the minor paint chip on one of the bases. Will take pictures soon since my camera's charging.

Btw Christopher, I believe these are the exact same stands you have! They have the small threaded holes on the speaker base to insert the little spikes (to isolate the speaker from the stand) and they can also be sand/lead filled as well.

Edit: I haven't found the proper placement just yet but I'll mess around with that tomorrow. The one thing that was quickly noticeable was the improved bass response. They put out even more bass by themselves than they did when they were up top on my towers.

Here's my new front stage :D

Notice how the Maggies just sit there looking cool. Just need to get my curtain back up there again since I cringe at the thought of them being so close to my windows. Don't worry, sun doesn't shine through on those windows and they're closed completely.

    Looks great!!

Have you used the MP1K with the LSi7's yet? How are they sounding together? Any trouble integrating the two of them?

    Thanks Curt :D

Course! Everything sounds like it's much bigger than it really is. The soundstage, impact, depth everything is just so dynamic. Blending the sub with the LSi's is a joke really, if you want 'trouble' when trying to blend a sub with speakers I suggest you try Magnepan speakers lol they're the hardest speakers to pair up with a good sub but once you do it right you're golden!

I'm loving every minute of my setup :)

Thanks, funny thing is after staring at them for awhile I decided to move the Maggies and put the curtain back up. Now it really is just the LSi's by themselves. :D

Edit: Dug out the camera just cause I was bored. This should be the last one I'm taking. Now to focus on other things ;)

Now that you all see my little setup, where's the best place to buy filler for my stands?

I'm checking this place out for birdshot but was wondering if there's anything cheaper that you guys go through. Also, about how much would I need to fill up a pair of stands 30" tall. The two poles on each stand are approximately 2 1/2-3 inches in diameter so it shouldn't take too much to fill up.

You could stop by some tire places and see if they will get rid of there used wheel waights, some times they just give then to you.
I dont know if i would fill them full as this may make them top hevy again but thats your call.

Don't know what those are but I'll take a look into that.

Not sure if you mean they'll get top heavy if I fill them all the way to the top, the bottom base can be filled as well so the entire thing will be pretty heavy on its own. I think that the way they are now they're more susceptible to falling over as opposed to being filled. That's not the problem here though really, I have no kids and my dogs don't go anywhere near my stereo so I'm just doing it for peace of mind.

Unless your rack was a good +$400 I don't think you'd be able to trade that stuff in for them lol.

Speaking of Monster, just picked up a new 3500 for only a hundred bucks. I love the cool analog meter in the front, and it has the same blueish-green glow that Mcintosh components have :D
