    Congratulations enjoy.

The 7's do have a good amount of bass on them for a bookshelf speaker. But they can get a bit muddy when trying to do everything. It is best to use them with a sub & let the midrange shine through with the 7s.

Man, I'd feel really embarrassed but should I post a pic of my setup now?

    Like I said up above, don't have stands for my LSi's and they're currently sitting up top my tower speakers. Horrible placement cause;
    1 They're a bit closer than I'd like
2 I don't have them toed in since I'm just letting them break in
3 They're way too high for my seating position
    4 They look weird? lol

That and my stupid curtain thing fell off my window cause of all the damn construction that kept shaking the hell out of our building.

Stands are an option, I just can't afford a good pair right now so I'm looking at the used section of CL. That and I'd like to get the Maggies either out of the living room or out of the apartment completely so I have room for proper placement with the 7's

Looks nice Freddy! What are you using as a source there? I can't tell from the picture.

I need to get my **** up there sometime soon. I can bring along the 7A's...and possibly the Adcom, Denon or Acurus if you're interested in hearing any of them.

edit-Nevermind...I just checked your sig...Denon 2800. How do you like it so far? Could be interesting to compare it to my 2910.

    Thanks Curt!

You're right, it's a Denon DVD2800. Imho I think it's an exceptional cdp, and a great dvdp as well. I've yet to try anything else other than my old brp I had but the Denon outdid it easily. You should bring those 7A's, it's been awhile since I've had an ear on the older monitor line.

I know that some would disagree with me when I say this but my weakest link will have to be my power cords and my IC's. As I stated before, putting in the Shotgun's made a world of a difference and it made me really proud of my system, as well as showing me what it can really sound like.

If you're going to bring anything over I'd say just bring the 7's, oh and some Wild Blue since Ben has me hooked on that stuff! :p

Ok, let's factor in the fact that I don't have stands and my room requires treatments.

I'm not saying my IC's are bad, but what I'm looking to changing will however provide a huge difference.

I think your source is your weak point, if we're just talking about gear.

Followed shortly by... (Dont hurt me) Your amp. Of course, it may play much better with the rest of what you've got. :o I just didn't think it was happy in my setup.

But you're right. Going with the MITs will net you a huge improvement. And regardless if you're fixing a weak link or not, a huge improvement is a huge improvement, and those SHOULD be the last cables you'll ever need. :D

    No worries Ben!
Actually you're not the first person to say that. I thought about it myself too but lately on the 'gon I've seen players prices go up such as the Denon DVD2900 and such. I'm putting off getting a new source since I have so many blueray movies I'll want another blueray player again so I might save up for a Pioneer model.

As far as the amp, no worries there either. It ain't going anywhere since that's actually my strongest point. I just think we need a pair of 8' electrostatic speakers or something hooked up to it so you can really see what it's capable of :)

Maybe I should replace my source first but I think I just want to get the IC's out of the way having already experiencing the difference they create. I'm sure a good player will as well but I just don't know if it'll be as big of a difference or not so I think I'll grab some S3's before anything else :D

Now to tell you what your weakpoints are! Don't worry I'll do it via PM since I don't want this thread to sidetrack.
