I've gotten stuff for free I've been disappointed in. Great price though!!!!

I'm just saying; people have thrown him some pretty good choices and I feel he went with the lesser choice. But hey, if he ends up loving it compared to what he has.....then it's all good.

Jeez, these Sunfire fan boys are just as bad as those Emo fan boys.

I am a fanboy of anything that improves my sound... but the EMO boys are by far the worst fanboi's there are. They are the only ones that seem incapable of accepting the fact that there is better stuff out there.

Of those listed, the Sunfire would have been my pick. I have not been impressed with that particular vintage Luxman. Older Luxman a is different story, and I have seen (not heard) some impressive looking new stuff but it was all over seas and way out of reach monetarily.

Better? Certainly. But for the money, they offer a compelling option for sure.

I was looking at that Luxman M-117 you won. I just won another Luxman TP-117 pre amp. I will team it up with one of my M-117 amps. They sound great together. You will not be dissapointed with the M-117 and you got it at a great price. What pre amp and speakers will you be using. If I were you I would look for some SDA SRS 1.2's or 2.3tl's. Any of the SDA speakers sound excellent with the Luxman gear. If you don't like the Luxman amp let me know and I will take it off your hands. Enjoy.
Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
Yamaha RX-V2500 System, Carver A753 3 channel amp.

Polk HT system 2: , SRT system with f/x 1,000's rear speakers on 7.1 system currently using Onkyo TX-RZ820 receiver, powered by Sunfire Grand Theater amp

    Polk Speaker collection: SDA SRS 1.2tl x 2, SRT system, SDA SRS 2 P/B, SDA 2A, SDA 1C Studio, SDA CRS+, Monitor 7B & 4, SRS 3.1tl, RTA 15tl, LS90, LSI 9

I am going to use this with some moded (sonicaps, mills, still going to get the 198s)3.1TLs, and an AMC 1030as tube pre-amp. I will wait and see how it sounds. I'll have it on Wednsday. I am hoping it will be as good as people are saying. If nothing else, for the price I got it at, it'll be a "good experiment".

Well, so far I can only get the right channel to come out of both the left and right speakers. This makes my listening impression somewhat slanted about this amp. Please see my post in 2 Channel Audio for full explanation. On an upside, I also got a Aragon 8008bb amp for $800.00 shipped. I read this is a phenominal amp for the money. I hope it works and sounds better than this Luxman amp....:( Please see the Luxman M117 post in 2 channel audio and hpefully someone can help me figure out what's going on with the amp.
