Wow, cool! Thanks man, just signed up. It says I'll be contacted in 72 hours. They ask a lot about your system, but probably want to talk to you to ask even more so you get the right cables. At least, that's my guess.

Hi guys. It's Gavin from MIT Cables. Thanks for getting the word out on our lending library. As I'm the manager of this program I wanted to tell you that the response has been huge. I have to sort through every one of the requests. So it may be a little longer than 72 hours before I contact you. I hope you all understand.

    Best,

I volunteer to help you, besides you need a deep southeast coast affiliate.....my present igloo houses idea has not sold so well in Southeast Ga. so I got plenty of time.

I don't know where I would be if Jesse hadn't let me borrow a pair of MIT 330 series way back in 2003 . It was one thing that really got me motivated to get back into high fidelity.

This was posted by a family member that needed to try some real wires. Anyhow, this is a great opportunity to try MIT's. I am looking forward to the trial and results.

I got denied, my stuff is too entry level for what they are demo'ing. Not surprised, but it was worth a try.

"Oracle V1.3 Speaker Cables and Interconnects (valued at roughly $45,000), one set of Magnum M1.3 Speaker Cables and Interconnects (valued at roughly $14,000), and one set of Shotgun S1.3 Speaker Cables and Interconnects (valued at roughly $6,000)"

^^From the E-mail that Gavin sent me, with those cables out for demo, no wonder I got denied, lol. Still a great oppertunity for anyone who qualifies, and a great offering from Gavin and MIT.

    Apparently...

I can understand their reasoning behind it...but that doesn't really go too far towards warming me up to MIT. I'll just stick with my crappy Audioquests.

Awww thanks Mike, I feel better now, lol. I didn't know exactly what they were demo'ing so I signed up, had I know the cheapest set of cables they were offering was valued at $6,000 I wouldn't have bothered, since as you and Jesse have stated it wouldn't make much difference with my $800 AVR. He recommended the EXp 1 Speaker Cables and told me I could get a discount on a pair from one of his dealers, try them for 30 days and if I didn't like them, I could send them back for a full refund (minus shipping) Don't think I have the coin floating around for a set of those right now, but thanked him for the offer anyway. Oh and btw Mike, we just sent a Jet down to Hickam last week and it broke for 4 days, I wish I was on that Jet, we could have had some fun, lol.

Well, I haven't heard back from them yet. Heck, even if my gear was good enough for their cables, once they see what el-chepo cables I'm using now, they'll deny me.
