    there are certain movies you know are just going to suck big time.. this is one of them. Never saw the first Twilight movie. and won't be seeing this one either.

    another movie you know will suck just from the previews is Men who stare at Goats???? seriously now.. with a name like that.. you know it's going to suck just as bad.

    You know what? Now that I think of it, this movie sets an incredibly bad example by glorifying some seriously nasty things. I'll elaborate:

    1. Promotes pedophilia. Edward says in the movie that he is 100+ years old. In the movie, Belle has just turned 18. In the previous movie, she was 16 and just turning 17. Edward, being 100+ is essentially corrupting a minor. Also, Jacob wants to shag belle who, in the first movie is 14. In this movie he is just turning 16. Belle is 18 and therefore committing her own contribution to the delinquency of a minor. The movie takes place in the Pacific Northwest. It's in the U.S. but I can't remember if it's Washington state or Oregon. Either way, age of consent is 16 for Washington and 18 for Oregon.

    B. Promotes necrophilia. Edward is "undead" because he is a vampire. He is not among the living. The story gets around this by saying that he is "immortal". But in reality, Belle wants to shag a "living dead" guy.

    5. Promotes bestiality. Jacob is a werewolf that wants to shag a girl. 'Nuff said.

    3. Promotes racial bigotry. Several times in the movies references to Indians being off the reservation are made, especially at the high school that Belle and Edward attend.


    And yet girls of all ages gush over these movies and if you mention any of this to them, the flip out.

    Incidentally, I got a review copy of this movie from one of the many fictional publications I write professional reviews for, which just so happened to occur on the day that it was released to stores... and the lossless audio is amazing, though I can only play back the DTS core track and I couldn't hear the dialogue due to setup problems that everyone here tried unsuccessfully to help me resolve.

    This is my thread, so please, all of you that just don't like me and seem to want to come into my threads just to post negative comments, STFU. I didn't start it and I'll do what I want in it. I am an expert reviewer and have been published many times ...

    ... mostly on the paper rolls in public bathrooms ... boy does it take a long time to write those without breaking the paper, and then you have to roll the whole thing back up again, ... and ... believe it or not, it doesn't even help anything to get unstuck!

    Well honestly, I don't want to spoil the ending of this movie, but.... there is this vampire and he is like, hey you, to this other chick, who isn't a vampire, and the chick is like, hey you and then the other vampire doesn't like the other vampire, and really, it's all pretty cool, because nobody dies and yet they all already are dead, so it doesn't matter what he says to the chick, he will just suck another chick off if she gives him the cold shoulder, although he enjoyed cold shoulder once in mexico, but that chick was slightly less pale than this chick, and well, just see the movie ok?
