Not to get into this BS 'discussion' but DSOTM SACD sounds fantastic from 4 LSi15s. Other classical SACDs also sound great in multi-channel.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers

That's coz DSOTM SACD is encoded in 5.1. It's fantastic for me too. But playing stereo tracks over 5 channel or 7 channel stereo is not the same thing.

Depending on the track and recording, I found some stereo tracks play well in 5 or 7 channel stereo mode too.
Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

Using basic acoustics is part of system synergy. Synergy is about using each component in an optimal manner to maximize the end result.
A hockey analogy is using the side boards to bounce a puck off to get around an opponent.

Dude, wrong. You have absolutely no idea what synergy is. Synergy is not how well each piece performs alone, it's how well all of the parts perform TOGETHER.

On a separate note, please don't use "hockey analogies" anymore. Not only is this not an analogy, but I am an ex player, and huge fan, and you are making us look stupid. Not cool.

So I'll just weigh in to say (not that I actually believe that anyone much cares what I think) that cables are a lot more than just "wire". Even wire is a lot more than just "wire". For example, Ohno single cast copper crystal wire does not have exactly the same electrical properties as OFC, or just regular copper, all of which will have different properties when compared to silver, aluminum, or any other conductor. And that's before we even get into dielectric properties, ways of twisting or braiding the conductors, fine stranded vs. single conductor, etc.

So for those that can't hear any difference, I actually envy you a bit, because you can head down to home depot and pick up some .39/ft zip cord and be every bit as happy as I am with my 10.00/ft anti-cables, or the guy that bought some 55,000/pr Modena speaker cables by Allan Shane.
